Do you know how much it cost to get the frame straightened again?

I got a hood, bumper, bumper cover, radiator, nose, grill, radiator, radiator support and more. I don't really need these parts, so I'll let them go for cheap. Let me know if you want the parts

I'm interested but first I gotta see what's exactly damaged.

I think the supra is great in the snow if it's set up for snow. I have two AWD small SUV's and a large 4wd suv, and the supra handles better than all of them. I can get up hill better than anyone with FWD, and I can stop better than any suv. The AWD vehicles are better on acceleration, but that doesn't make you any safer. I have had luck with soft suspension, manual trans, and narrower than stock, special purpose snow tires, and stock ride height. It also takes practice driving in the snow in Pittsburgh. I used to live there, lots of excitement in the mountains in the snow! Please fix your car or sell it intact to someone who can fix it. Parting out is business venture: time disassembling, photographing, and mailing parts for profit. If you aren't efficient at it, you might not make anything on it. Get a job and earn enough for the parts or for a new car, and you will probably do better.

^^^ yes, if the car is not ready for snow dont drive, atleast even get all season tires even tho snow are the best even the studded, but i used my DD dodge shit box neon in the snow and handles very well, even better than the AWD, i can do the highway speed limit with out worrying about crashing while people with AWD goes like 30-40 MPH, but fixing that wont be a problem if you have tools and know how to do a bit of body work

YEah I know it costs alot to straighten a frame. But it doesn't cost anything when you have everything to do it yourself. And he already has everything he needs to finish his car. I sold him my other supra $250.00.

Why do i have a really really hard time believing this..
No supra should ever be drivin in the snow, not even if your ken block!

Actually not hard to believe at all. With snow tires (not all season) and a some good experience in snow driving, it is very possible. I did very very well for 4 winters in my IS300 with dedicated Blizzak LM-22 tires.

Thank you. I have the same tires, BTW, love them.

If you don't try something new, you don't learn. How can anyone endorse drifting a supra at high speed on dry pavement and then criticize the next guy for driving his car with much lower speed and momentum in regular snow driving?

I've driven all through every mountain range in the US going skiing for years, and lived in snow country for 20 years. I've never had more than a few fender benders in the snow. I have totaled 1 car in 10 years ( I drive 30K miles a year), in that case due to distraction, stress, and severe sleep deprivation, on dry pavement in broad daylight. Snow driving keeps me focussed and alert, and I know the limitations of my abilities, my car, and my setup. When I was the same age as OP, I nearly died in winter driving in the mountains and learned respect after that. It was dry roads, but around a bend overlooking a shear dropoff was a big patch of black ice from a clogged drain. The car, a FWD VW, spun out and headed towards the cliff. I locked the brakes when the car's momentum was headed down the road and spun around twice, stopping in my lane headed the right way. Mostly luck and Grace. If I had allowed more safety margin in my speed and been more aware of how close you can be to death anytime you drive, I wouldn't have been in that position to begin with.

If you part out I'm looking for a front lip, LMK. :biglaugh:

On a more serious note, at least you are ok, and its time to start learning how to work on cars. Having mechanical abilities is the only way owning these cars is cost effective. I agree with the other guys, don't part it out, fix it if the frame is intact.

Ok so I just talked with an insurance agent and it turns out they are covering it after all! they said they'd be sending someone to come look at the car to determine if it's totaled or not

Don't mean to sound stupid but is there a thread or a website where I can find all the avaliable options for the car? When I talk with the person who comes to look at it I want to tell him about what options it has in order to squeeze the most money that I can out of the car.
