This is why you shouldn't drive your supra in the snow haha. Now it is time to buy a daily driver that you can use during the winter and keep a supra if you get another one in the garage or parked.

ya if you have patience and can do the swap.

pluss you can sell whatever you got left over to make some $$ back

i can do without the car for awhile but i don't know too much about cars so i'll need to find someone who can do it.

It is way easier to repair that car than to swap parts to yet another old supra. I would fix this car. You are not going to save much by buying a shell car and swapping parts. From those pic you gonna need a hood, rad, rad support, fans (maybe), bumper, header panel, and other little misc stuff. I would definitely fix that bro. If you are handy with tools you can do it all yourself in your spare time by buy parts off SM members

your going to need alot more part to fix than what you have said he may need, it would be easier to buy a shell and put the running gear in it

It depends... some things may be reuseable..... you have to take it apart and look under the hood. You cant just give up based on pictures.

I'm not though. I don't know too much about cars at the moment. I'm willing to learn though. :)

Damn, If you were closer I'd help you, but Im over in NYC. Its really not that hard if you have the right tools and workspace. If you don't have a good set of tools or friends with experience, or have not done this before.... even swapping a motor set into a new shell will be a journey. I'd hate to see another Supra go down the drain :) Think about how much you have to spend to get a car back on the road. Perhaps parting out this car and putting the proceeds towards a new car may be an option? Good Luck with whatever you do. If you need any mechanical advice, Im just a PM away.

I come from a land down under
He doesn't have the skills, knowledge or a support group of locals to help....

Better course of action would be to part the wreck for as much as he can get then buy a running car to replace it.

A friend of mine knows a few people who do body work. Maybe I'll talk to them and see what they say.

Up to you but in your shoes knowing what I do now I wouldn't....

Do you want to work on a car or drive it?

Well, I'd rather go without a car for a month or 2 and get to drive my Supra again than get another car in a few weeks. My neighbor would sell me his Integra but I'd rather have my supra fixed :)

What IJ said. Just part it out, take the remains to a salvage yard, and buy another one. Next time don't be so much in a hurry to get home.
On a side note I feel sorry for your parents. 17 and had an accident. Their insurance rates are going to go up quite a bit. Don't be too suprised if your next car is some kind of 4dr econobox. They're going to need to save on insurance.
