So yeah, the silver car has been down so long, I dont knwo where the hell the keys went... How effed up is that? I've moved, so they could be in boxes or lost, I dunno... And I never really even thought about it until I made that for sale thread, and I have my ecu for sale, so yesterday, i was like, I need to pull this thing out, I go to open my glove box, and the g'darn glove box is locked! WHY WOULD I LOCK THE GLOVE BOX!!!???!!! Now in a cruel funny sort of "Jake's fate" way, I would bet my keys are IN my locked glove box... I would think I would keep the keys in the car or close to it, in my roller chest or something, but... I dunno...

How can I get int he glove box now that its locked?

How can I get new keys? The ignition was different than the rest because years ago someone broke into the car and destroyed the column... So it wont match my VIN... :( I guess I gotta find a parts car and buy the lock set off it? Maybe? Maybe I'll find those friggin keys!

*I got the motor in, and the tranny, oh, its all buttoned down, lap top is tapped in, ready? OK! FIRE THAT BABY UP!!! (hmmm, looks around) Hey, anyone got the key? THE KEY?!?! I thought you had it! Oh, well, I thought YOU had it!   *

have many friends with supras? Invite them all over. There are very few key variations. At 2k6 Matt (gottoyota?) locked his keys in his car, we were all in the hotel parking lot, got some mk3 people gathered up and had it unlocked by like the 5th person.

Lol. Sorry dude. That sucks.

Totally sounds like something that would happen to me.
(See Rod Knock Thread. BHG then Rod Knock in less than 2k miles difference. Stuff that would only happen to you and me lol.)

If you have the title you can go to Toyota and get a new key. Really isn't that much. A buddy of mine lost his keys and had a new one in a week or so for less then 30 bucks I think.

Yes, you can get a new key cut at the dealer. You may have to get the code off of your passenger side door lock cylinder though. I tried to call toyota and get the code, but apparently, Toyota doesn't keep all of the key codes after like 15 years or something.

one day my glove box stopped working. i mean it locks every time you put the damn thing in. i just jam a key in it and turn it counterclock, it works. if this helps in anyway, dont force it to hard.

I went to a locksmith once when I locked my car keys in my car (I had only one key)
The locksmith had a computer database and he was able to pull the code for my key and cut it up. No vin or spare key was needed.
He said that will be my master key ( same thing Toyota would do).
Key works fine.
