So yesterday im driving, and i stop at a local liquor store, come out and decide to check the oil before i leave.

so i pop the hood, immediately attracting the attention of the integra with the coffee can. so he farts on over.

i gotta say, he was a nice guy, complementing the condition of the car and stuff.

then he says "those are some sick spark plug wires" (on my 1jz). i kindly told him i dont have spark plug wires, there are individual coils on each plug, but theyre not visible at the moment.

his reply, was one of the most awesome ricer bulls*its i have ever heard.

-"Oh, coilovers huh? thats freakin sweet man!"


just thought that might brighten someones day, like it did mine.

LOL. Happened to me at the gas station when I was checking my oil some Honda dude came over and complimented my engine bay and said "damn, that's the sickest V6 motor I had ever seen".

I said thanks man but that's not V6, that's V8. :biglaugh:

I really hate it when people desied that my car is ford probe :ugh:... I normally go with it and tell them its a ford probe with a supra body kit and quad turbo V4... :3d_frown:

its funny when people see the turbo emblem they say "its turbo? thats cool" but when i tell em its twin they flip out and think its the fastest thing in the world as if more turbos=faster

I was driving my car last week for the first time in well over a year. We were just getting a no boost road tune done.

I'm sitting at a light and hear a supercharged 4cyl revving, not to hear anything over my car is impressive. I look over and there is a Saturn Red line with some kids. Of course there sitting there with there caps on sideways and acting all cool (in there little world). Light changes and there spinning like mad off the line and though 2nd gear. I was just driving normal and not boosting at all.

Get to the next light and they did the same thing again......get a life lol.

I always seem to everything from ricers to guys in there work trucks try and race me, it sucks.

I get that alot to, I went to a communtiy college and everyone herd that I had a supra and they thought it was a newer one, and then they found out it is a "boxy stlye" then they all thought it was fwd.... I rofl alot becouse some of the instructers thought it was fwd.

I DO get compliments wherever I go, it seems. I've been asked what make and model by several officers, as well. Of COURSE, I always pop the hood!:biglaugh:

i've had a ricer point to the intake plenum and tell there buddy"that's the turbo".
i've also had an old timer who thought my car was fwd,even though it's got 275's out back and 245's in the front.he was also trying to tell me my car is a 4 banger.not bad for a guy who run's a mechanic shop.good thing i was just getting an inspection sticker
