How much boost PSI are you running?

with a 3" exhaust and intake (stock FMIC) ive run upto 22psi on my stockies (accidently) for about 3 weeks till my clutch started slipping so i turned my bleed valve down.

then got a boost gauge n realised why. :aigo: once i get a new clutch ill up the boost back to 18-20psi till i go single later this year. :evil2:

:dunno: what are you running your vaccum line off for your boost guage? maybe your getting a false reading?

or a leaking BOV?

just grab a boost controller. The manual ones are cheap as hell, but i would suggest a avc-r

I would sujest looking for boost leaks, damaged turbos, restrictions and do you have a cat? With the same mods I was getting 1.1bar with out a boost controler.

what!!! You are boosting 16lbs on a stock car? First, that is unsafe for the stock turbos and i dont understand. Your stock spring must have been changed to stop the wastegate from opening at a lower psi

Boost controller: i tried everything, and every setting on one and all i get is spiking boost and fuel cut!

Yes I was and how is it unsafe if I have the fuel? Were did you I say it was all stock? When I put on the Profec-B I was running 18-19 psi on the stock turbos with out any problems(over a year). Once they started smoking I went to a large single and ran that at 24psi and 550whp. Toyota Ceramic turbos are no were near as sensitive as Nissan ones.

If you have a free flowing Y pipe and a no other restrictions you should see anywere from 13-16psi with out a boost controler. I had to install a FCD after I installed the y pipe and exhaust. I also had a S-AFC so I was able to controle the fuel.

Try taking the cat out and see if that makes a diffrence.

Edit: what exhaust do you have?
