i ran 18psi daily on mine with 440s and a 60-1 single, afr's stayed in the 11.2-11.7 range the entire time, even took it to 21psi on accident and it still stayed in a good afr range

Its been at 20 psi for almost 2 years and still no smoke . Im running a hks evc and a hks fcd on stock fuel with the exception of a supra tt pump and 12v mod. They loose effiency after about 120 mph or so .I am automatic with a stock dp thats probably one of the reasons they haven start screaming and smoking yet .

Actually...
If you're running a stock downpipe, with 20psi...

This would be more likely to cause failing turbos.
When you're running that much boost, restriction is the last thing you want.
(ie. Running a 7M at 20psi on a CT26 with a stock exhaust).

You're choking up those turbos when they really need something well-flowing enough to let out all those exhaust gases.

Very gutsy, though. ;) Got any numbers?

Actually if those ceramic babies spins more than it is doing right now they have a greater chance of disintegrateing. I have a 3 inch exhause split to 2 1/2 in the rear with no cats or resonator so im still getting most of the backpressure out at a decent rate ,the other thing that puzzels me is everyone i know with a downpipe blown their twins .I dont have any numbers but when i do get some i will definately post it up .
