How do others feel about your Supra?

Hey jonathan1 F*ck em!!! It's a 3.0 straight six with tons of potential... The ma70 is a awsome car! The thing that pisses me off is "That car is too old!"

The supra is my choise of car and i chose it for a reason!!!

I've gotten those kind of crap comments about almost everything I've owned! My '87 is almost the newest car I have owned (used to have an 88 CRX) So I consider this thing a technological marvel.

And if your family and friends really don't get it you could always just replace your Supra obsession with booze and drugs and see how they like that!

The thing that pisses me off is "That car is too old!"

People that say that the Supra is too old are just being stupid and not true car enthusiasts. What about how popular cars from the 50's are? I don't hear that comment about those cars. Maybe in forty years it will be different for the way our cars are thought of who knows. To me having a 16 year old car that looks almost like new and runs great is where it is at. Like I and others have said before it is what the owner of the car thinks of his ride that really matters. Thankfully only twice I have heard a stupid negative comment on my car and both were from "old farts" who love only american cars. You will never please everyone just make sure you are pleased.

iv never really had any trouble with people teasing me about my car. well not the supra at least. iv had one girl say it was ugly when she say a pic. but after ridding in it and seeing it in real life she changed her mind. one freind said it was a piece of crap and slow. then i beet his vr-4....from a dig:evil2: some "the back see it so small"s and " wheres the door handle"s ....i also get alot of looks from it. even though mine kinda looks crappy.

The wierdest comment ive been told about my car was something like, "Man, I like the way your car looks and everything.. but the doors are just huge. That throws everything off."

That from my friend who's a MKIV fan-boy. He just doesnt know whats up.

My front left rotor is now the equvilent of sandpaper( happened over night...)

She was runnin so nice untill i started felling misses. Replacement of plugs is inevitable.. Code checkin time too!

now that i think of it, when i was getting ready to get on the dyno the guy guiding my car motioned to pull straight onto the dyno front first and hinted to put my front tires on the rollers, i just stopped and looked at him like he was retarded then he paused and was like "this is fwd right??"

DUDE!! one of my friends at school asked me that just the other day!? i dont get it...why do people even think to ask that??? i answerd with... "aww hell no dude...supras are rear wheel drive" and then he just kinda said "oh.."

lol... what gives? people dont go around asking if vettes and mustangs are, how could a sporty fastback like ours be thought of as a front wheel drive...it doesnt make sence??

cartel1_950 - yeah...but i hear the awd ones rip it up... oh and after reading one of your previous posts...ironically, my friend that commented on it being fwd drives a black cavalier station wagon....lol:icon_conf he thinks it's pretty cool to. it was at our highschool's auto show. it wasnt bad, i dunno if i'd enter it myself; but its clean and i guess it can be one of those immaculate stockers. only issue was his coolant overflow was a mosnter energy drink bottle... made for a good laugh.
