Hey Val, Can you look up this part number (48157-14020) and tell me if it would work for my front mounts?

Bump stops are kinda expensive...... 31.12 $

part # 48157-14020 11.51 $ not sure if it would work in your NA but it is the mount for the latter 89-92 models.

could not price out the mask bud........ the parts guy said he did not know...

i would think that the spring seats would be the same since my struts say they fit 86.5-92.

Get the front 2 for me if you can Val. dont worry about the bump stops.

Matt, got some time this weekend? im gonna do my HG and such. im gonna have the head machined.....you really think i should do the block too? it hasnt given me any problems, but i saw a little white smoke outta the exhaust this morning. it didnt do it this afternoon.

Granted that you need a hell of alot of heat to warp the iron block........if you have the money i would have the block done too..... just to be on the safe side. Don't do it with the block on the car though.......

I should be around this weekend. Let me know when you plan on starting.. What gasket are you going to use? sdid you say you bought a cometic? Check to see if that has rivets in it. If it does you need to take them out.. If the deck doesn't look to bad you could possibly get by without decking it. Is this the N/A motor? How much would your boys over at tachyon (mispelled ?) do it for?? May be worth looking into..

Well being it's the n/a I would pick up a can of Permatex copper spray to put on the HG. If they will deck it for you pretty cheap go ahead.. If the deck looks pretty clean I would hit with a die grinder with a scotchbrite pad to clean it up. Of course after you have cleaned it with a gasket scraper..

Putting a turbo on it you would have to tap the oil feed etc for the Turbo. Maybe change the oil squirters.. There are a few post on what to do for the n/a block.. I can't remember exactly..

it will stay an N/A for awhile-maybe. i got my 1j clip itll be here maybe friday. saturday at latest. might have to sell it before hand, but im broke and dont have everything i need to swap it right now. i sold my old DD becuase the motor was locked up and broke the tranny towing it home. i gotta ride the N/A longer if i wanna keep it and make it last.

Whats the best way it see if my cold start injector is working right ?

If i went turbo...anybody got a stock turbo, turbo manifold, injectors, and SAFC or F-con for sale?

I have the injectors.. Hey nothing wrong with rolling the N/A.. If your strapped for cash just clean the block surface like I said.. It should hold up fine.. Before I spent too much time trying to turbo the N/A, just wait till you get the money for the 1j swap or either sell it and get a 7MGTE swap.

Update: I sold the 1jz clip.....got 3200 out of it because it was coming from a person and not a business for the guy. he is coming to pick it up monday. Anybody know where i can find a 7mgte/5 speed swap at ?

Dayummmm $3200 for the 1j clip... You could almost buy a complete turbo car for that!!!
