yeah I did this at the time cause it was cheap and I had no lip at all. Anyway, you guys wanted the pics back and I had some spare hosting space, so its back. Do with as you will, lol.

Actually last time I checked it was under $5 for a new cover, and you can aplly it right on top of the old one. It actually gives it a bit more strength.

It is vinyl and can be painted with any of the typical vinyl interior paint products.

someone asked about a better way to install it...

3M makes emblem tape for attaching, well, emblems. its usually pretty durable, more than the standard white foam tape. it should last about 10-16 years. afterall, that is the stuff that holds the urethane bead on the 89+ side molding and thats just now beginning to fail on my car. id say it had a good 18 year run

Some 3M tape cis very good.

We did some experiments at work and bonded aluminum I beams together with 3M tape.

Nomatter what we did, we could not pry it apart.
