Say hello to my little friends :evil2: I've been debating the go single route for my next upgrade but I found this kit and just couldn't resist . Besides I'll be married 11 years tomorrow so it's way too late to go single now LOL ! He claims the kit has less than 5000km on it and according to the condition of everything I think its possible . Hope some of you guys have some experiance with this setup you can share . I've been reading the old Aussie forums and gathered some good info to help the install go smooth . It's suppose to be bolt on but some minor adjustments will have to be addressed . I;ve taken off the stockers twice but out of the car so this will be a major PITA and back job . Oh well it's all going to be worth it ....I hope :icon_bigg
The turbos are rated for 280-320each ( depends who you listen to ) and love to run 20psi . I've seen some dynos with bpu and 440's reach 300kw or 402hp @ 18psi. I just had my 440's cleaned and tested at cleaninjectors.com but 1 failed and needed to be replaced . $125 for service and then I would have to find 1 440 and get that checked ...ahh NO . I've since changed my mind on that and will go with new Sard 550's and use the safcII to trim the fat . I dont want to keep spending money on old injectors . Doesn't make sense at this point :icon_conf So thats about it for now ,,, im really looking forward to this . I may install the 2j cams I have at the same time but i'm on the fence about those yet hmmmm

dare to compare ? It's curious that they claimed it's a bolt on and you can use your dump pipes but according to the flange I will have to use the hks y pipe. Different bolt pattern compared to the ct12a :icon_conf

Dude your car is pure sex. I love MKIIs and even more so black ones.
And yours looks clean as.

I have seen a car my tuner worked on that had the same turbos, but on custom manifolds with a Power FC big intercooler and adjustable cam gears on stock cams. Most he could get out of it was 275rwkw IIRC.

They are a nice stealth turbo upgrade

275 sounds right for bpu and low boost . What psi ? I'm hoping for more than that when I get the cams , injectors and boost to 20+. I'm not expecting huge numbers but I do want to break that 400 mark . 300+ has been a lot of fun in a MKII but now it's time for more and I hope this is the answer . thanks and let me know if you see another one :icon_bigg

HI there, that was on high boost 20+ psi. Others have spoken of these turbos being able to make more, so keen to see what you can get out of them, that car I mention is the only one I saw first hand running these turbos

Yeah i'm curious so I intend on pushing them LOL ! I'll start low and work my way up past 20 if the wb says it's all good . I pushed the ct12a's to 227kw at 16 psi without the ecu or safc so im really hoping with the right supporting upgrades they will reach my goal . Only one way to find out :icon_bigg

Damn I was really hoping someone here would have first hand experiance with the kit. Guess not very many made it over here and of course the single debate would keep most from going this route anyway. I wonder how many were produced ?

Last kick........ Anybody running this kit ?

Any updates on this? I just got a set of T3Gs and am getting it tuned next week, kinda want to know what power I should be hoping for:D

I haven't had it to the dyno yet so I can't say what it's making . It's more than the ct12's ever did ,,i can tell ya that much :evil2: I have the boost turned back to 15psi until I get the emanage and the 650's in . They do have a little more lag than the ct's but nothing really noticable. Your gonna love em !!

That guys was me! hehe.

I was running twin HKS T3G's on tubular high mount manifolds, twin 3" split dumps (with merge collector into 3" straight thru zorst with hi flow cat) twin intake pipes with dual pods and a 600 x 300 x 100 thick cooler. Also had sard 800 cc injectors, apexi power fc, blitz id-III EBC and a walbro fuel pump and yea, as dan mentioned trust greddy int and ext adj cam gears.

The most I could get out of them was 275 KW @ the wheels on 20 psi. This was dropping down to about 18.5-19 psi at the top of the rev range as the exhaust housings had maxed out at this boost/flow. Your dyno's (in the US) may read a bit higher tho.

If you have the same spec T3G's as me I doubt you will get anymore out of them than that especially since you are running low mount std manifolds and std pipework and intake. I was also using twin 3" split dumps.

The HKS T3G's I had were basically a HKS 25-30 but a slightly older non ball bearing design. They also had a smaller exhaust AR than a 25-30 (i beleive it was .48) which made them spool quite well on the 1J (not too much worse than stock). If your turbos have larger exhaust housings like a .64 (the same as the 25-30's) I'd say they'd be pretty laggy on a 1J. A mate had 25-30's on his GTR and he didnt see good power til 5000rpm....

Sorry for the late reply guys. Shop keeps me busy. Here is my dyno sheet with the same twins that terror owns now. this was on 100 octane, 440cc injectors (should of had 550's) stock cams, 3in dp, no cat and hks high power catback, SAFC Neo and HKS intake. 23 psi of boost. I think with 272 cams and bigger injectors i could of hit 500+

Thanks for the replies guys ! That's right where I want to be with this car so it sounds good to me . They spool much like the ct12a's with a bit more lag. With the 2J cams it really starts to freak past 4K so I'm hoping with more tuning with the exhaust cam and a shit load more with the EMU I should be able to make some descent power . I'll post the results when I get to a dyno . 7hr trip :3d_frown:
