Offset I am not to sure, bought them used locally. I am going to start running that set up, just need to gather some more of the parts like the AFM haha

Found these at the junk yard today :evil2:

For the price I figured I'd do a retrofit somewhere down the road haha I got 4 projectors to use now.. The price was unbeatable as these can easily sell for $70 or more for projectors

Just a tiny update, can we say eye candy :) custom blue paint scheme for my parts, I'm getting my oil pan done this color and the block will be a silver or cast gray like color.. I'm trying to figure out what other parts I can have that color hehe Maybe the intake?!

More updating Finally! Shooting for a late April completion to finally be able to drive

I had finally moved up to NC and had not had time to gt my motor on the stand. Well finally it was done this week! I have my color scheme done which will be a cast gray block and black accents. I am using the VHT header black as a base and then clear coat it for protection. I need more black paint though to complete the intake haha Block still needs to be cleaned inside before the parts can go in but it's ready :)

I have still been collecting parts and ran into an issue of a bad crank which has been taken care of so I have that done, my rods prepped with ARP's and new rings. Here are some of my turbo toys I scored. AFPR and 50mm HKS race series gate! It's a monster and will go great with my T66 turbo

Also I sold my rims to help fund my build and decided to go back to my roots with some Weld Racing
p1030066w.jpg

It's going to look killer with these! Later on down the road I will get another set of 18's for dress but I like the racing appeal of some good ole weld wheels
I will start the bottom end assembly maybe this week if work does not kill me

A bit more progress;

I noticed the block had not had 2 freeze plugs in it so I had to order those from Toyoyta also the oil pump shaft bearings not installed so I had to order them also

Messed around and started to mock-up the intercooler in the car to get a general idea of where I want it
cimg0038r.jpg

Also I fitted my weld wheels on the car to see how they fit and boy do they look killer :)

The rotating assembly should be done hopefully by next weekend as I am going to be swamped this week with work

Well I was finally able to get the pistons all squared away and dropped into their new home :) Running NPR pistons and rings. All that is left is to get the oil pump shaft bearings in and the rotating assembly is complete!

Also one of the car with the intercooler mocked with the welds on, I like this pic; it just looks freaking fast

Okay so it is time for another update. I have been very busy working and trying to get my car done with limited work space outside but inside I am able to finish wrapping it up :)

Since the last time I have bolted down the head with ARP's, installed the intake system, injectors, wiring harness, all the small accessories minus the alternator (mines is dirty so I might need to buy a new one haha)

Main thing that is left is welding the flange for my wastegate and then I can finally bolt on the manifold for good. Rear main seal, oil pan & such will be bolted and siliconed once on the engine hoist.

I still need to do some wiring cleanup and hiding so it does not look as scary but it's coming along, Im HOPING to have it up and running in the car sometime next month if not earlier.

Here are the pics thus far

p1030110m.jpg

The fuel system preview :) External pump, -8an fuel line to the firewall then -6an to the rail and stock return. Also running an AFPR at the front to help tune the pressure right. Injectors are 560cc's so plenty for the mid 400hp range
p1030118h.jpg

For the clutch i am running a stock set up but with an ACT 6 puck disc.. I like the stock feel of the clutch. Also putting ARP's behind the flywheel for added strength.
p1030115g.jpg

Tuning will be done using a MAPECU (hint for the HKS horn, only for special occasions and show) and AEM wideband. Glad to get rid of the stock AFM! Turbo is, well it's big I measured roughly 72mm :naughty:

Once I get the stock motor out and I can start cleaning the the engine bay and get that prep'd and I have been thinking to maybe paint the car FIRST or should I wait until the motor is tuned and running? Tips from experienced builders would be great

Alright after a LOOOOOONG time of looking at my motor in the basement it's finally in it's home :D There is still lots to do in cleaning and organising but Im getting things together for a fire up HOPEFULLY tomorrow. There are little things I still need to take care of ( Dipstick, wastegate, vacuum sources, MAP ECU, just to name a few haha)

Here is the intercooler and oil filter setup
p1030130i.jpg

This was late lastnight so the pictures are not what I would like and they do not show the bay like it should. Tomorrow I am off of work so some day time pictures will be taken and a video if she fires up and runs :)

Update, mocked up the intercooler piping for the car to run while breaking in but it's only temporary. I just ordered some 2.5 T-clamps because the ones I got in this kit sucked ass! haha I cleaned up some wiring but I still have plenty to do. Working 40hrs a week right now is making it tough to finish this car but I'll have some updated pictures tomorrow afternoon once I am home. Should be a post up tonight about some MAPECU help I'll need so if anybody can help with a good running 550-560cc injector file please PM me.

Im happy that it's finally at this step over a year later!

Okay big problems, so first there was an oil leak coming from my oil cooler, squared that away. We primed the system and turbo and fired up the car ( no longer then 1-2 minute intervals). We checked the turbo feed hose and nothing, no oil at all :( not good. Now We open the oil feed lines and took out the the oil sending unit and cranked the car and still no oil! NOw what is really confusing me is that my lines are full of oil because when I changed the cooler they let oil out. Need some serious help here guys. I dont think my flow direction is off but it's a possibility. out the block, to the filter relocation, to the cooler then back to the block. right?
