Yes , The Supra loves attention .
Welcome

Yep, they are attention whores! :biglaugh:

GE to GTE swaps are super easy and not that expensive and it's all plug n play. The car has pre-existing bolt holes for everything.

Get it cleaned up and post pics. Good looking supra overall.

good luck charging your AC, they don't sell R12 anymore, so you'll have to convert your system to R143a..

You can get a product called Freeze 12, an r-12 substitute, if you don't feal like swaping out to the new stuff. Its like $10 a can and 1 and a half cans did the trick for me.

*Update*
If the muffler guy is at the shop tomorrow the exhaust is getting put on :) Just swapped my wheels and tires too, but it got dark for pics. I'll get some new ones on tomorrow for sure hopefully with a sound of the magna

Bad news is I have a leaky clutch master cylinder :( I just bought a new one so it will be installed sat. morning

ALso had a run in with an 85 camaro V8 with a vanilla ICE wannabee driver...... Lets just say after 2nd gear it was over ha!

Very nice, which wheels do you have on the car? Looks like Konig or Enkei

They are konig's which around where I live actually I've seen the same set like on 3 other vehicles.. I personally want either staggered or some 8's all the way around but these I had purchased new tires for when on my truck so I decided to save money :biglaugh:

The time has come for me to start the boost process :evil2: I scored a good NA motor from a buddy so I decided that would be my core. The only thing on this powerplant that will remain NA is the block and maybe single knock sensor. I planned on rewiring it or I might just drill and tap for a 2nd. Head will be a GE but work will be done and I plan on using gte cams which I have or maybe do the NA, I've heard a better intake lift? The block will be cleaned and checked and I will most likely go with a MGH or how about Copper?

Overall I'm shooting for 400whp or close to that since I want a daily driver.

Here are a couple teaser pics of the good stuff

52020094.jpg

It's a .70 compressor cover (I need a riser so I can angle it better for the intercooler piping and not hitting the manifold) with a .68 a/r exhaust so it should spool nice. Built by Mike's Turbos down in Miami FL.

Greddy Type RS BOV

Here a couple boxes of parts i Have so far
parts1.jpg

parts.jpg

Inside contains

- New ARP Head stubs & rod bolts
- Full upper, lower intake with throttle body and such for a 7mgte
- Coil Packs with plugs, and gte valve covers
- gte harness, comp (on it's way), CPS, injectors.
- Brand new cometic gasket set on it's way along with piston rings
- gte pistons, rods, oil pan, oil filter relocation with hose
- gte timing cover, BNI timing belt and tensioner.
-HKS wastegate is coming also this week.

I still need a couple parts like an oil cooler, throttle linkage, piping for the intercooler and intake, a MAF for the gte, headgasket, bearings (waiting until after the motor work is checked) gauges and the tac conversion for the coil packs and that's mainly it I think lol

We are planning on moving to NC soon so I'm gather parts and construction won't happen until I am up there sadly but once I am it's full force!

Time for an UPDATE! Still gathering parts but things are looking VERY good now

Got some new gauges, Prosport :)
p1020941.jpg

And decided instead of getting some bulb housings that are yellow, I'd just paint the lenses on my fogs to see if I liked them and i do

p1020942.jpg

I scored a huge FMIC 3" inlet, got some piping on the way in the mail also this week.
intercooler1.jpg

Also a nicely worked head with a valve job ( 3 angle also) a slight P&P job and resurfacing :)

And the newest feature!! I scored a 7mgte block! That's right no need for a NA-T now. Done up with a hone job, resurfacing, and new freeze plugs got it for $250 not to shabby I think/

Fresh from the machine shop :)

More pics as parts come in, I'm still in need of some stuff like an oil cooler, MAF, and little stuff. I scored a flywheel and clutch for a gte with the motor purchase too

I have some parts available forsale so if anybody needs something for a GE let me know i have a motor available for purchase locally, also have some turbo stuff like a header and BOV available so just PM me

coming along nicely. I'd recommend going with the lexus afm, 550's, and a piggyback right off the bat. If you plan on running that turbo without some kind of fuel controller, fuel cut will be fun.
BTW what offset are those wheels?
