If he cares enough, he can have surgery to prevent it from ever happening. That's why I have stitches on both sides. The problem was on the left side but surgery was done on the right too for preventative purposes.

Holy crap. I checked my testicles last night and realized I might be at risk. Both of them can rotate more than 1/2 way in the sack. I'm going to the doctor ASAP.

LOL Just what you guys need an excuse to "inspect" your nads :D

"Just inspecting the boys dear"

"Yes but do you have to do it at the supermarket checkout?"

Well, I had this same thing happen to me this morning Joe.
Woke up around 8-9am, and had a pain in my left testicle. I got out of bed and it got much, muuuch worse.
I'd been working on the Supra since friday. I went from a bare block and head to in the car and almost running in 3 days because I'm moving to North Carolina tomorrow and needed it running. All I had left to do this morning was put gas in it, prime it, connect some IC pipes and she was good to go after 15 months of not driving it.

Well I woke up and my dad comes into my room saying "When are we starting?" He's been helping me the past few days even though he doesnt know much about cars, just there for support. So I tell him I'll be out in 30minutes. This is when i got up and realized this pain was much more serious that I had thought. I tell him the problem, and we call the medical center. they told me I could see a doctor in about 3 hours. So I say ok... I'll try holding in there. About 20 minutes passes and the pain is so bad I need to go to the ER.
The entire way there, to waiting in the ER, talking to the nurses, getting sent to different doctors all I could think about was this thread. Oh and the excruciating pain. I understood what was probably the case and it made it much easier when the doctors broke it to me that I needed the same emergency surgery. They said you have 6-8 hours after the first symptoms to catch this and save the testicles, and my fertility. The surgery went great, Saved the left, and fixed the right so this cannot happen again.

I'd just like to thank you Joe, for sharing your experiance as it made mine much easier to cope with, and really gave me hope that it would be fine.
But now I'm stuck with a Supra almost ready to run, and I can't move to NC for another week, which sucks because my classes start the 18th. But at least I'm healthy!

cliffs: Same exact thing happened to me, had surgery, everythings good, and I'm still stuck without a running Supra still:cry:

Ouch. I feel for you buddy. I'm still recovering a little.

Glad to hear you're alright.

Also glad my experience was able to help another experiencing the same thing.

At first, I was thinking "who the hell is bumping my thread" lol.

Glad your ok and hope u feel better it took me awhile to get better cuz that bothered my nuts was a pain to me. Atleast the nurse who checked me out was hot :naughty:

Haha Yea I figured since it was so recent I wouldn't make another identical thread. Still recovering? damn, I was hoping to be in well enough condition to move by mid next week.

Gene the tech that did my ultrasound was pretty hot, and the nurse in recovery was too haha.

You'll be able to move around soon. I spent the first week mostly in bed also because I got a fever that same week. the 2nd week was much better though. I went back to work 2 weeks agao and drive and do all of that. It's just tender in that area. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Haha oh I'm well aware of the tenderness. Although the percocets are doing their job quite nicely.
I can move around, I'm just concerned as I need to pack all my stuff, and move to NC ASAP, I'll probably end up having to drive the Supra down now.

The ultrasound doctor said I was the 4th guy there today for the same concern, not sure how many of us actually had twisted teste's, but it definetly shows it pays off to get it checked out if you feel ANYTHING. It can be alittle embarrassing, but not nearly as bad as losing it because of waiting too long.
