Glad to hear everything is alright Joe. Did the Doctor explain how it could have happened? Like.......*How can I put this so it doesn't come out wrong?* I mean....they don't just twist by themselves while sleeping do they?

Edit: You will have a spot in my prayers tonight. And your family.

Another edit: You don't need to explain the "how". Wiki FTW!

Well, I can be a weird sleeper. It wouldn't be the first time that I've woken up in a weird position or without my covers or off the bed completely... I've been told I move a lot in my sleep. It likely happened like the link JJ posted. In winter, you may be warm under the covers but when you get out, the chill can constrict your stuff you know. Sof if they're in a weird way when that happens, bad stuff happens apparently.

All I know is I was fine the night before. No signs of anything. Then the pain woke me up early in the morning, (I'm never up at 5 naturally.)

Lol, I have woken up before with my lower half still in bed, and my torso hanging off like I was doing a hand stand while sleeping. Hope you sleep well tonight.

Hopefully I'm not tossing and turning tonight. I'm not really looking forward to having to sleep on my back either.

I can't fall asleep on my back either. I have to fall asleep on my left side with my right leg bent at the hip. It's the only way I am comfortable. Can you take sleeping pills to help you fall asleep? If so, maybe you can find a comfortable spot while laying on your back, and hopefully you will just zonk out in that position.
