For that much money I wouldn't expect to be drilling the product or finding my own mounting solutions. Glad you finally got something from them and I hope you can figure out a way to get it on the car.

You and me both.

But I think I will table this for now until it warms enough for me to actually mess around with it.

Thanks again everybody!

Hehe, why that's none other than "Max Headroom" -- a low-budget British Sci-fi series from the 80's.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Headroom_(character)

He was so popular that for a little while, Coke used him as their spokesman and he even appeared on some popular late night talk show.

So.... where's the strip tease vid? Oh, and congrats on getting your targa top.

You youngsters who don't know who Max Headroom is makes me feel old.

Me too, very old. Even my sons remember watching Max Headroom.

That doesn't make much sense.

Mine bolted right in, though it is currently sitting in my hall closet while I work on the rest of the car.

I'll go check it out tonight as to how it's built.

Structurally, it looks like the same as what you have. I haven't transferred over any of the guts from the metal one but the mounting provisions appear to be all there just the same. I think it'll be a lot more apparent once you disassemble the old targa.

On your "No Holes" picture, under the red circle on the left is the hole where the front mounting bolt screws in. To the bottom right of the circle on the right are two holes where a mounting ear attaches that contains the rear bolt.

The headliner snaps in to the slots. The side trim pieces and gaskets were self-adhesive or glued from what I recall and had self-tapping screws to secure the ends.

I don't think you're missing anything, I'd say it's all good :icon_bigg

Unlike your Targa, mine has no slots or holes cut in it. There's... indentations, which leads me to believe that I am supposed to drill my own provisions?

EDIT:

Oh, I think I see what you mean. So those small holes are where I bolt the hardware on that allows it to snap onto my car?

The green ones are to mount the targa to the car. The front bolts straight in but the rear you will need to use the ears from the old targa.

The blue ones are where the headliner snaps in.

These are basically a direct replacement for just the bare sheet metal part to of the factory one.

Hot damn! That's great news.

I don't suppose there's anywhere I can buy said hardware? I would very much like to keep both roofs functional.
