Supra Dan i got it from Weapon R. However it was not exactly plug and play as the pipe needed to be cut and the AFM needed to be moved. You could try to call Weapon R and see if they would just sell just the hard pipe. Cooleze made some and you can find them from time to time for sale in the sale section. Also i have seen some ebay ones but couldn't tell you how they fit. Although if you just want it hard black you could always go for one of the silicone ones like DM sells.

That's what I thought at first too haha

But I think, key word think, he meant the steering wheel situation in my first post (about not having air bags)

if he is talking about suspension, then I have know idea where that came from

I figured it was some sort of issue like that, and yes...I didn't just pull airbag suspension out of my ass for sake of discussion...

I do however wonder why cars like ours couldn't have a setup to allow temporary height adjustment to move easily over parking entrances and speed-bumps without sacrificing suspension quality. I'm sure there's a good reason though (cost...complexity...etc).

I think there was something like that, but yes, it's $$$

I don't think it goes up and down, but that Lexus ls400 Bose suspension system was kick ass, you can friggin bunny hop it!
Well now that I think about it, because you can jump it, I think you can change ride height.

Also, Audi all road (the a6) has a nice adjustable suspension

haha, true if it's going to actually jump...and i do remember the video the ride height did change. I wish that made it into production, or at least as a mass produced production across more cars. i don't know it's history or how far it lived.

Ok so....exciting update!!

I got a lot of my parts for my HG swap, awww yeah. Still awaiting a little more, my order from driftmotion, and PWR radiator from MVP moto.

But, I got my Toyota oem parts shipment today with all my stuff.

now, I ordered the red anti-freeze coolant.

Can I just use that 100% or do i HAVE to mix that 50/50 water/antifreeze?

also, if i can use 100% coolant, I have 4 gallons of it, think that'll be enough for the big PWR rad.??

Thanks!

Is it red or pink coolant? I know Toyota sells a premix and one that needs to be mixed. My local dealer only stocks the premix. It should say it on the bottle.

It says factory red coolant.

Reading the back and it says to mix 50/50 :/

i thought it was premixed, or i could just use straight up antifreeze

Two things:

-Mix with DISTILLED water unless you want your heater pipes (not to mention passages in the block) to rot on you.

-PWR rad takes around 3-3.5 gallons of coolant to fill. If you have a vacuum coolant tool, that makes it really easy to get your system filled without needing to burp it. ;)

Okay cool, thank you! I can just go buy like distilled water from a grocery store right?? (I'm sorry for all these silly questions that are probably very obvious..but I would just like to make sure)

And what the heck, I have the worst luck.. I ordered from 2 separate places that advertised the PWR rad.....they both didn't have it! (mvp motorsports and Titan moto. both didnt have it lol)

Anyone know anybody that actually has the pwr rad??

Yep, grocery store will have it, about the only place I ever found that stocks it actually... as for who actually has one, I do. :)

Oh wait, you meant where you could BUY one from... right. Try HPF (horsepowerfreaks.com), that's where I got mine. Keep in mind they're built in Australia, so if they're not in stock, it could take a bit to get it...

Te72...where the heck did you get yours??

I just called PWR usa, and they have to get it directly from Australia. No big deal, I can wait...oh wait! it's $850.00!!! wtf.

Oooookay...So I have now received mostly all of my parts now for the Head Gasket swap. (yay)

Just set up the the new engine hoist, all is good, put in the new steering wheel, all is good.

So, I have now lightly started the disassembly process of the head now that i have done all the other little projects before it (installed new Diff., steering wheel, etc.)

Now mind you, I drove this car all the way from Wisconsin to my home in N.C. Ended up being an 1100 mile trip.

So, I take this oem intake off and....BAM wtf wtf. I don't even know how the car made it home.

My poor AFM..

Now here is the pretty part...lol this intake..ahhh funny funny

Now, there there was a lot, I mean, way too much to be healthy, oil in the intake (intercooler pipes are dry)
When i was taking the intake pipe my hands were getting oily..So as much as i hoped it wasn't true, my turbo was, well..gross.

So my question, just by looking at it, would you guys say this turbo needs to be rebuilt??

Is it bad the way it is, should I have it cleaned?

I'm going to be purchasing a catch-can soon, so hopefully this will stop this oil in the intake situation. But do you think by a quick look the turbo is toast??

Again, as always, thank you for everyones help

Someone say Catch can!? I had to swoop in here! The can will help keep oil out of your intake and intercooler pipes that is caused by blow by BUT that turbo seems a little tired.

While you are at it, you should definitely let Albert upgrade the turbo for you. Even if you don't want the upgrade, a stock rebuild would be worth it. Are you planning on doing a JZ swap anytime soon, if so, then check the shaft play, if its minimal, save your funds. If you will be keeping the 7M and want to have one like 87TurboSupra who is running a catch can of mine, let him rebuild it and maybe a 57 trim upgrade, you will be happy.

A customer of mine had the 57 upgrade, now he says the car is "fast" at 10PSI. -_-

Does the turbo smoke? Have you checked it for shaft play both side to side and back and forth and seen if it was in spec? Is the wheel damaged? Very hard to tell from the pics. Answer these questions and you'll know if you need a new turbo.

LOL! I was going to actually put your name after the part where I said catch can, but I didn't know if you would want your name there or not :p
I still haven't forgotten about our discussions a while ago, just trying to figure out how I'm doing my catch can set-up.

I am actually going to stay 7m, I'm a weirdo and like it hehe.

I literally just decided after my previous post that I was going to Albert rebuild it, I just checked out his thread on rebuilding the turbos....damn, some nice work!!
I'm going to opt. for the billet ct26. Size of a 57, power of the 60-1. (or if he has a better suggestion)
Ported waste-gate (would hate to go open waste-gate, did it on my talon, would definitely try to keep it internal)
Black Ceramic coating (going with my wrinkle black engine bay theme)

But my hope is that the turbo isn't damaged to the point were Albert can't upgrade it for me.

P.s. I am very excited and antsy, I really hope i can actually upgrade the turbo.

I have had upgraded turbos from many companies and Albert's turbo has performed the best. Even though the old guy never lets the turbo spool all the way, now that I turned it past 10PSI to 15PSI, he full throttle every open block he has. No smoking or issues to report and makes the customer smile ear to ear.

Okay, just went into the garage and checked. The wheel does not appear to be damaged, and there is only a very little ( i mean barely, if any) movement from side to side. Again, I don't know if there is supposed to be absolutely no play at all, but this was very, very minuscule.

Quick edit: the car does not smoke at all
