He would fly to your area if you contact him and have a few guys that want to tune their cars. You could try to get him to fly out to tune your car but you will have to cover all of the flying and hotel fairs instead of splitting it with a few people.

Hm. That's actually a very good idea.

I just don't know if I'd be able to gather enough people for that. Definitely something to look into though!

another option is email tuning. you send your setup to a tuner, and they build you a map. then you go back and forth, sending them datalogs and they send you back updated maps. I'm doing this with Bill right now, and it has been very helpful for cruising/low throttle situations. I would still take the car to a tuner for full throttle/max power tuning on a dyno.

See, that definitely seems like it would work, I just would hate the waiting game.

Also, When i go to get my tune, I (not to be picky) want it to be done for everything, normal driving, performance driving etc. I just would want it done right, the first time.

Edit: I really hope i don't come off so picky or anything, I really REALLY appreciate these ideas, just that I would also prefer the tuner not be so far away. This way, if it ever needs to be re-tuned for whatever reason, it's not a huge fiasco just tog et it done.

Being picky is a good thing. Compromise is what causes most of the problems with modded cars. It's been the cause of all of my problems I've ever had (with cars and anything else).

Certainly nothing wrong with being picky... it's a lot cheaper than doing the same upgrades twice. ;)

Also, is it a 'PnP'?

No stand alone is plug-n-play. You need to add the tune. It is plug in and tune. Accept that first. Second, plug and play doesn't mean it is better, just more convient to install. So, did you find a tuner near you yet? Good luck, and be sure to put up a build thread if you have the time and quality pictures for us.

I'm sorry if I came off that way. Yes I understand that it still needs to be tuned, 100%

I am more or less in it for the 'convenience' so to say. It's almost as if I have a phobia about wiring things. And not that i would be doing it myself anyways, but once you start splicing and wiring stuff, theres a great chance of wiring gremlins down the road.

Again, I definitely understand it needs to be tuned. It would just be good because they just have to, more or less, 'plug' in the EMS. Rather than having to pay a couple hours shop rate to re-wire/install a new EMS.

Thank you, I'm going to need that luck! haha.

A good quality build thread will definitely follow suit once things start kicking into motion.
I'm just concentrating on my medical bills right now from my motorcycle accident.

Okay, different topic now.

I'm in the process of ordering some stuff for the car, and wheels are going to be part of it. Enkei rpf1's. 17x9 +35 and 17x10 +38

The dilemma I am facing right now is the size..
Not offset or width or anything, I already have that all figured out.

My question is regarding the AZP BBK. 13in. 6pot front and 12.9in 4pot rear set-up

I know he has a thread with the template to see if the wheels fit your current rims.
My issue is that i don't have the rims yet, and I don't want to buy the wrong ones.

So in a nut-shell, my questions is, does anyone that runs this brake kit have enkei rpf1's in 17 in. and they fit?

I know this is a long shot.

Even if you don't have rpf1's, but a 17 inch rim, also combined with this brake kit, please let me know.

Again, I don't want to buy these 17in rims to find out they don't fit over the brake set up

As always, thank you for your inputs!!

Call up Enkei and ask them for the measurement inside barrel of the wheel, in relation to the hub face of the wheel. Should give you an idea of where to start.

Having suspension that works right.

That's what I thought at first too haha

But I think, key word think, he meant the steering wheel situation in my first post (about not having air bags)

if he is talking about suspension, then I have know idea where that came from

I think he was talking steering wheel too, I was just having a laugh at my own stupidity on this end. I never cared for bulky steering wheels (anything 90's era GM with airbags comes to mind) with their 4 spoke wheels... ick. Some newer cars though, fit a bag in nicely. Not sure how difficult it would be to swap in a newer wheel if you wanted an airbag though.

I agree with the whole 90's steering wheels, a lot suffered from...ugliness.
But, I already ordered the other wheel I wanted :)

Oooookay! So I've decided to get the rims anyways, I figured it should be okay.

But, a very important question...where the hell can i get one of these?!? Pictured below is the weapon R intake kit. Now i don't really care for it, but i really reallllly want that metal accordion pipe! (i'm going to be powder coating it black, too shiny for me) But, I really need to know who makes these metal accordions! Please don't say custom made, I'd really prefer to have one already made and just order.

So again, if anyone has any idea where I can purchase this metal intake pipe, please let me know!

Thank you again.
