Here is what I came up with if you want to come closer to comparing it to our kit: $1739.90 with the install kit. Ours includes the oil lines and complete downpipe, not just the elbow.Toy-Rific said:This is what I found at, http://www.suprasport.com/product.asp?itemid=315&itemadd=64557
I added everything up in the cart and came up with the following & it is an every day price! One other note is that it comes as a big shaft for added durability.
SS BOSS Turbo Stage 3 Build Your Own
Compressor Housing Finish: Non-Polished
Compressor Options: TO4E 60-1 (Big Shaft only) approx. 400 HP + - $125.00
Center Housing & Rotating Assy.: 360deg Dynamic Thrust Bearing
Actuator: Single Port (standard)
Install Kit: No Thanks
SS Hi-Flow Turbo Elbow: Elbow & Stainless Gasket - $169.95
$1,489.95
What ya think?

I'm not saying you're turbo is not good, or that our's is better. I honestly don't know how this thing is going to perform. And to be honest with you, if I knew about your turbo before I bought my upgraded one 3 years ago, I probably would have bought yours. I am not claiming to have re-invented the wheel or anything, just offering poeple another option. This thread was started as a "group buy gauging interest" , not a "who else offers turbos" post. So to get back on track, our kit comes with stainless braided lines for feed and return also, and if you want to make your turbo last longer, buy a turbo timer and run synthetic oil. The water cooling does help with the longevity of the unit if you are running conventional oil because if you run conventional oil and shut it down without giving the turbo a chance to cool off, the oil will burn causing carbon to build up and quickly chew up your bearings and seals. Synthetic oil is much more heat resistant and will not burn on the shaft and bearings. If you treat your turbo right, it will treat you right.SupraJack said:A big difference is the housing made from stainless steel and the center section is coolant and oil not just oil. This will help increase the life of the turbo. All the lines are made from braided stainless steel as well, even the oil return.

you said .55, right? IIRC the stock CT is closer to .63, I would see that tight AR as a big restriction for top end flow. although it should provide quick spool, provided it doesn't surge/choke the compressor.
thesupraman said:No this is not a ball bearing turbo. We can get you a ball bearing GT30 or GT35 if you want, but it will be $300 extra. The exhaust housing on the 62-1 is designed for quick spool, so you really wont need a ball bearing center section in our opinion, but we can get you one if you want. Thanks for the interest. --Jim
