It doesn't start waking up until 18 pounds? That's a lot of boost! I still have stock intercooler and pipes and stuff. I should probably replace those first before getting a kit like this right?

-Dave
Although it is not 100% necessary, I would highly recommend it. I ran my stock intercooler and pipes with my upgraded CT for 2 years and although there was a significant gain in power compared to the stock turbo, it blew my mind how much more power you can make with a good intercooler. I gained 8 mph in the 1/4 mile (70-80 WHP on my 3510 lb. race weight car) at the exact same boost level (15 psi) by upgrading my intercooler to a custom water/air with 3" piping. You don't have to run this turbo at 18+ psi, it's just that it is in it's peak compressor efficiency zone at these boost levels. This turbo will far outperform the stock CT-26 at ANY boost level.

moving this to where it should have been all along ;) once you get something in stone for pricing and exactly what youre offering email for approval and then we can post here ;)
Sorry for the discrepency. At the time that I originally started this thread, there were a couple "unofficial" group buy feelers in the group buy forum. Rather than emailing you like I should have, I just posted mine also. My apologies. Stay tuned everyone, the 62-1 kit is being mocked up now, and I have decided to go for 720cc injectors to take advantage of this turbo.

for $1500 Maybe they should.

I got a Turbonetics 62-1 HiFi Non BB turbo with a Turbonetics (revised) CT26 Stage 5 Rear housing. I built it myself Cost me $900. $650 for turbo, $250 for Housing. Oil lines where another $90 from Suprasport or MaxxAutoworks. (Caution, The Oil drain line from Maxx Autowork willnot fit this turbo correctly) and a $25 1/4 steel spacer plate from John Lunsford. Without the plate, the turbo compressor will hit the manifold.

Last time out I put down 458Hp on stock Fuel, stock injectors, running a VPC, But That cost me Dearly :icon_conf . I'm waiting for the car to come out of the bodyshop, then I'm going to throw in a fresh set of .020 JE pistons at it, bump the fuel up with bigger injectors.

This is the turbo here. 4" inlet, 2.5 compressor Outlet. stage 5 rear end. Direct blot on to Supra manifold.

Pretty impressive. How did you pull that off with stock injectors? I was leaning out (13:1) with 85 psi fuel pressure (Can you hear that screaming? Oh, its my fuel pump.) on the stock injectors.
