The story also stated that in Iowa, one store was 2.05. Iowa is a highly subsidized state, and that could be a high ethanol blend, not E85 though.

don't na's only require 87? if so then you're just wasting money.

Research octane 91(87). Thats why I just put 89 in it. It does run better on 89 over 87 tho

Last time I filled up was 2.61 for 93. Up north of Cincy its as low as 2.15 for 87.

I believe that the cheapest price around here for premium at a good gas station (76, Chevron or Shell) is about $3.40 a gallon for 92 octane.

I'll be headed back to CA in 40 days, though, and I know prices are considerably lower there.
