So when I was looking around for info and doing some random reading about the Bosch 044 pump I found some on Amazon for a decent amount cheaper then I paid at DRiftmotion.

My question would yo be worried about buying fakes from Amazon ?

I added the Bosch part number to the search "bosch 044 fuel pump 0 580 254 044" and came up with a different pump than the one you came up with, only four left.

How do I go about checking that?




On a side note I bought a TOMEI Head gasket but now after looking around the Internet I found a HKS stopper for about the same price. I'm unsure if the HKS stopper is 1jz specific and not just 2jz head gasket.

I just want to be able to have a little faith in the TOMEI as I don't know a whole lot about the brand or seen much review on the gasket being used for the 1jz.

Lol well obviously plastic is not gonna last very long.... give me a alittle more credit they are just there to help hold it n place until I go get proper clamps for it.

I might just send it to get ceramic coated instead. Still up in the air.

If you want legit clamps, Parker hose store by us has pretty much any size t bolt clamp.
Orrrrrr if you want to ball you can do -16 full AN setup

Used small gauge wire to hold the wrap on my downpipe setup Jordan, it blends in well enough you can barely see it, and has held good for over 2 years now. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it worked alright.

As for the comment about the zip ties outlasting the motor, that's kinda sad, but at least you can laugh at it.

When this thing has been running for a while, you'll have to let me know how you like that manifold. I was always tempted by it, but my experience with flanges on cheaper (Chinese) exhaust parts has left a sour taste...
