my moneys on the iacv, but im sure you guys will have that loopy idle figured out in no time. i was mainly talking about what id do as far as the "noise" goes.

Yeah I agree the noise is the main concern but last it ran the noise went away hopefully this time for good. We'll have to look into when noise is present. I want to see if we can get it warmed up, check timing, TPS, compression test for the hell of it and see where they stand. Can't get my compressor to his house a leak down will h e to wait.

Use a quick block off plate I did this when I first started my car

K ill do it tomorrow. Still have to figure out why the car won't start anymore.

After that last time being started at the machine shop the car died and when we went to restart it it seemed that battery was not getting enough volts to start the car... Just a click and nothing else.

The car had power to everything else though. So I started checking fuses and found nothing.

Brand new starter. Defective? We'll figure out the starting/cranking issue also.

I have a blocking plate lying around I believe I'll bring it.

Here's a swig of coke to something loose on the serpentine belt side of things hopefully making that noise. Ya man, all your other vids sounds pretty darn good. Just that gopro vid sounds weird compared to all your other vid's. Doesn't sound like rod knock at all, or loose flywheel bolt chatter to what I've seen on that youtube. Wonder if the solenoid would be in a condition so that the funny noise is the starter gear plunger on the flywheel doesnt get retracted back in, and hangs on the flywheel and rotates with the flywheel when its running. Possibly thereby slowing your idle and hanging up the rotating mass.....? I dunno what else a/c compressor noise, alternator noise, power steering pump bearings? Hopefully something easy and cheap to fix.

We have had a lot of problems with this we were having to jump te brand new battery more then once to get it to start and this was right after the car had been running.

I'll tell you I've had my fair share of jumping my car at 5 below more than a few times here in MN. Albeit from my own funky automatic window roll-up battery drain mod feature with this Compustar remote start, haha, but damn was it cold to keep jumping that ride. Ugh. Glad those times are over, and can't wait to get my Supra going someday.

How cold does it get in AZ in the winter? heh.

Yeah it I've lived other places but snow is pretty rain in the city but if you go to the mountains (very close to the city here) there's snow a couple days out of the year.

Wish I could work on this car all year long. Ok, well....maybe not.....you guys got it good over there I'll say that ha. Heard those summer temps can get up there though just as well on the other side of nature. I never had working air conditioning on any of my cars. Hopefully this one I will.....

i used to work for a starter/alternator shop, still in good with owner. so if you need any parts just PM me. as for a starter being stuck in a flywheel. that denso style has a habit of only wearing the brushes not so much the solenoid unless fluids are leaking onto it. and is the car running on the EMS now? wonder if it is Hunting for rpm?
