no actually my motor came in today!! I was so excited to see it on its side on a crushed pallot, which was covered by a piece of a Pacesetter Exhaust box!! All wrapped with two of those QUALITY nylon straps!! Holy shit... I peel back the cardboard from the "custom crate" that I so generously donated an additional 50 dollars for(thought it was going to be an actual box crate), to see that that the turbo that was supposed to be included wasn't even there!!! WTF!!!:icon_evil After getting the motor on a stand we noticed a few more cons.. The fuel J line on the block below the intake plenum was bent and snappen nearly off! Caused mostly due to hmmm, maybe its wonderful position on the "custom crate". The studs on the turbo manifold were pulled out when it was removed for surfacing the head.. Some new parts were installed including waterpump w/gasket, mhg and ARP studs, valve cover gaskets, front and rear main seals (as far as I can tell) and spark plugs. We also realized that the oil pan hadn't been taken off, therefore the crank and rod bearings could not have been visually inspected as stated on HPF.com as well as Rabidchimp.com.. All in all I guess it wasn't soo bad, but not having a turbo on it and being kinda beat up from forklifts and the sort.. I forgot to mention I had my digi cam this entire time and didn't hesitate to take pictures...

After failing to calm my unexplainable rage, I called Ben at HPF.. I told him the whole deal, and he was prompt to help.. Ben said to send him some pics and would be sure to contact both the shipping company and Rabid Chimp, as well as myself as soon as he recieved more information.

Unfortunately at this moment Im not at my own computer so I will put some pictures up as soon as I get home.. :nono:

that sucks.....I would be pissed.. I hope all works out for ya!!!

As you can see in the one pic of the oil pan gasket, the silicone on the inside is stained/burned from the oil... Meaning this motor's pan couldn't have been removed for inspection of the bottom end.. Another thing, in pulling the oil pan I noticed this motor has a 6m crank... Idk whether or not to be pissed about this..

Doesn't pulling the pan void the warranty?

I was thinking the same at first... But for one, that wasn't specified from what i was told... Second, after we put the engine up on an engine stand, we noticed (as pictured) that the pan had not been pulled at all.. In both descriptions of the engine, it states that the bottom end is inspected and the rod and crank caps are pulled.. Seeing that this wasn't done, I pulled the pan and immediately informed HPF.

rot, you are going to have a hell of a fun time when you try and use the N/A cat. i have a spare turbo elbow and dp w/ the stock cats still connected and my car is NA. i measured the cats and the N/A is .75"-1" longer(somewhere in there i forget). you might be able to shorten the cat by cutting off some of the excess piping and moving the flanges in to the correct length
