Today I continued with the IC install.
Since I'm not going to use the stock power steering cooler I can route
the pipes in a more nicer way.

There are a lot of updates that I need to post. Those got put to the side for a while.
Besides working on the supra and my new welder I have traveled to England with a friend who bought 2 cars there and then we drove them back to sweden.
Took only like 30h of driving. We flew down on Saturday night and were home in the afternoon on monday. Is this your kind of driving lenght IJ?

I will replace the side seals on the diff. I will not touch the pinion since the diff is in good condition and I want to avoid rebuilding it this close to season.
I will rebuild it next winter. I will replace the bearings and the seals plus change the crush sleeve to a solid spacer.
Toyota wanted about 1000 SEK for the three seals... I'm paying about 10$ each in USA. So those are on the way.

It looks like my rear main seal on the engine is leaking, but thats a very small leak. I haven't looked in the TSRM yet, but is it hard to change?
I think I want to change to a lighten flywheel, another clutch and a light weight propeller shaft at the same time.

Today I bought another welder
I didn't find anything about it, not even when I called the company who made it.
But it's a AC/DC stick welder with a TIG attachment.
For low current it uses 1-phase and for higher it uses 3-phase.
The brand is Clas Ohlson and the model is RS260.

nope
we took the plane down to gatwick. drove to somewhere in Southampton. Then to Dover, then to Puttgarten, then to Helsingborg and then finally to stockholm.
and that was a total of about 13500 km as in thirteen thousand five hundred km

(sitting on your ass in a plane doesn't count)

And yes it was a great trip I wouldnt hesitate to do it again. But my dad didnt like the no sleeping part

Ij, i just realised that google is not using metric system! So you are correct about the distance. Im at work now and started thinking about that, and that 13500km couldnt be right.

I hadnt reflected over the distance before.
The gauges in the car showed miles so I didnt care much about looking at that. So all I really had to go on was what it said on google maps.
Then I though about the distance between stockholm and the border and thats about 700 km, so 13500 km didnt feel right.

The first night in england we stayed at a nice little hotel. They had just had a wedding there so we were just in time for the after-after-party

Today I got to test my new welder with TIG (scratch start).
As you can see I got it started with mild steel (top one in the picture) but not
with aluminum (bottom two). I need a high frequency start to be able to weld aluminum.

Today I continued with the pressure pipes.
The upper pipe, the one that goes from the IC to the throttle is ready for welding.
It will be in three pieces.

Hello everybody!
The pile of unwritten updates is very-very large but I just wanted to say that my goal is to have it running in two days
I'm currently studying for exams, working 120km away from my garage and at the same time I need to finish my supra. Time is tight, last night I
only slept for about 2-3 hours.

I will be using my Innovate LC-1 lambda sensor together with the stock ecu. I will run one channel as a narrowband. If anyone has done that
and has some tips, please share them with me
I will go standalone this summer so I don't feel like making a flange for the stock lambda and weld it on just to cover it up in a couple of months.
