This day was dedicated to electrolyte bath. I actually started yesterday so that it
could sit during the night.
And I did help the process some by sandblasting.
I was running low on time for this so I couldn't complete it and make it ready for paint.
But the parts are at least some steps closer to paint. I think all I need to do now is
a quick run over them with a wire brush and then I can paint them.

Good idea, but its not eating away at the bins?

TweeT91109: No, this process is perfect like that. I can't harm paint, rubber, plastics healthy metal.
The only thing that will get hurt is the sacrifice anode.

haha no :) I'm studying mechanical engineering towards a master with emphasis on mechatronics and combustion engines.
If you do a search on rust removing electrolyte bath I bet you will find some info, thats what I did and I think it was an english site which explained it the best.

lol, I don't think you have wasted a year in school :) You have some deeper knowledge about this so if you only do some repetition about this you will get everything

The wheel arch putty hell continues :)

I also layed out the rear harness, trying to see how it's routed.
I need your help, I can't find it in either my own pics or the tsrm how the harness
is routed, do you have a pic or can tell me how it goes??

Today I put the final layer of primer on the rear arms (most of them).
It was done with a brush thou.

Electrolyte is the rust removing process of my choice since this keeps my costs down.
Since the rear sub frame is so big it will take several days.

My bath tub did not survive one whole day so I had to reinforce it with more duct tape and staples.

As you can see in the picture, the process is doing something.

Day #4.

Everything goes as it should.
This picture was taken early in the morning (around 4:00) and when I got home from work
I had some zink anodes which took the process to another level.

After 6 days in the bath it was time to take it out (can't kill my mothers lawn completely).
Some final touches with some wire brushes made it ready for epoxi primer.

Here we have it after 6 days in the bath and ready for a final meeting with the wirebrush

And it's now painted with the best primer ever
