LOL no probs, it's actually a source of much humor here as when you strip a Mk3 you'll find LOTS of strategic blobs of Seam Sealer where someone has wiped it off their finger during the Body build :D

Today I continued with the seam sealer.
First I completed the undercarriage and then completed the inside.
After that I took my time, I eat dinner, bought energy drinks and so on, just to let
the sealer dry. I raised the temp. inside the temp to make it dry faster.

After about 5 hours I covered the undercarriage with top coat and a couple of hours later
I covered the inside with top coat. I also did some of the rear panels...

The undercarriage got undercarriage paint and the inside got marine 2-comp. polyurethane paint.

I had brought new filters for my breathing gear but those didn't hold up any good.
When I had thinned the "inside" paint they were starting to let in some fumes.
I cried like a baby while I was painting. I focused mostly on the inside and only did a little
on the outside. I will finish the outside that are covered with panels using the same paint.
And when the car is back on it's wheels I will paint to whole rear end with proper car paint.

Today I got home at 4 in the morning after spending a total of 12 hours in the garage minus
the time I was out getting dinner and energy drinks.

Yep that's what I meant it's the genuine "Factory blobs" that we laugh at :)

You do realise most of this shit you're spraying on the car is quite poisonous don't you??

Yes I know. I usually better at protecting myself. The next thing on my to-buy-list is a good 3M breathing gear.
I used glows when doing the previous layers. Don't know why I didn't on this one.

Today it was time to uncover my supra to see the damage :)
I also had to move all my stuff that I put in front of my supra back to my spot.

Weapon of choice: Canon EOS350D with stock 18-55mm lens and a Sigma EF530 DG Super flash.

Today I did some touch up on spots that I had missed and painted thin on.
I also painted everything red in the rear that is covered by trims and bumper.

The front subframe bushings got out very easy and the look new so those must have been changed before. Anyone wants to buy

those?
The subframe itself was very dirty so I cleaned it of to make it easier when I'm stripping the paint.

What I need to bring tomorrow:
Hockey pucks (2x3) which will become engine mounts
Alu. subframe bushings
And batteries for the camera, forgot those today so no good pics in this update :-/

EDIT: I took some pics with my phone

Old bushings, looks almost new

For the engine mounts - why not use Mk4 ones and modify them to fit, iirc you just have to hack off the lug on the topside of them - they're better than Mk3 mounts, and not as harsh as solids....

But those are more expensive :) these will cost about 55 SEK per side.

I don't mind the harsh way of solids and these still have some flex in them.

Thanks for reading

Didn't do so much today.
Just brought some stuff to my garage and cleaned the subframe with degreaser and water.

Continued with the subframe and started on the oil pan and ended up with both
parts primered.
I grinded the parts almost non-stop so that a friend could help me carry them
outside to a temporary tent we made.
The primer was put on with a paint gun.

Today I continued with the front subframe and oil pan.
I thinned out the paint and painted the parts with a brush, turned out ok.

Today is the second day that I can mount parts on my car :)
I took my time with the oilpan and cleaned the flange good and then applied a
layer of gasket on tube and installed it.

My pan has a level sensor but there is no cable in the enginebay that I can attache it to.

Then it was time for the subframe which was notting short of a bitch to do :-/
Some friends were in the garage while I was preparing the subframe, but left 5min before
I started to install it. I had to call them back...
Since I'm using alu. bushings, the subframe needs to go up in a perfect straight line,
which it wouldnt do when I was alone, but with my friends help it got there :)
I still have to torque it but it sits there! :)
After that I happly removed the engine hoist.

I also installed my Canton oilfilter adapter while I had lots of room

The engine hoist is no longer supporting the engine :)

This day was dedicated to electrolyte bath. I actually started yesterday so that it
could sit during the night.
And I did help the process some by sandblasting.
I was running low on time for this so I couldn't complete it and make it ready for paint.
But the parts are at least some steps closer to paint. I think all I need to do now is
a quick run over them with a wire brush and then I can paint them.

Today I started taking care of the looks of the rear wheel arches.
I want to be done with most of this so that I can give the putty some time
to sink if it wants to while I do other stuff with the car.
Now in the beginning I'm using fiberglass reinforced putty.

The pictures are taken after the last layer of the day was dry, I sanded it
a little on the right side. But keep this in mind while you are looking at
the pictures.
