black suspension - hm, wouldnt it look nice if I had those in another color? Silver perhaps? The front upper control arms will be slightly polished or glass bead blasted and clear coated.

I'm guessing that you are talking about the fuel tank? I'm going to see if I can get my hands on one. Otherwise I will have to repair it, but then it will be as good as new :)
Does the fillerneck have to be able to stand on it's own? or can I replace it with a big fuel hose?

Went by a friend today and picked up my second delivery from driftmotion :)
Along with the package was the shifter bushings which I ordered the previous time.
But they missed the FIPG tube that was supposed to be included with the gasket set.

I also bought the paint for the top coat inside the car. I will probably use the
same kind of paint on my suspension parts and oil pan.

I finished my battery tray today. I still need to weld some screws in for the brackets
holding the strap down.

Then I wanted to continue with grinding down some welds in and around the wheelhouses, but
my angel grind doesn't want to work with me now, each time I put any load on it, the rpm drops
so I continued with the front lower control arms instead but a bit uninspired so it took
some time to get two bushing casings out.

It took awhile for me to get to the garage today. And when I got there I couldn't spend
much time with my supra because I got a text say that I have a package waiting for me
on the other side of town (Stockholm) so I just threw me and my girlfriend into the car
and drove over there. It was rush hour so it took a long time getting there.
They were closing at 17:00 and that was the time that I arrived at :)
The packaged contained 5 cans of primer :) This primer can't be bought everywhere anymore
since it has been replaced by a water based version which sucks.

But this primer is great! I have used this on some other cars with great results.

When I got back to the garage it was a bit late but I managed to remove the final rust
from the spare wheel holder and cut some plates to weld in.

I also took apart the right rear handbrake assembly.
The brake shield fell apart and I need to replace the handbrake shoes.

Any ideas on how to treat the hub?

Started today with buying a new angle grinder.
At first I just wanted to replace my cheap one with another cheap one, but then
I noticed that the store (Jula) sold a Bosch with kick-back protection.
I checked the prices in other stores and on ebay and decided that the price Jula
sold it for was good and when comparing with the cheap one, the Bosch has to last
for 3 years to be a good buy and I don't think that, that will be a problem.
It's a Bosch GWS 11-125, so it has 1100W.

So when I got to my garage I had to test it :)
It was like night and day between the Bosch and cheapo.
And best of all, I won't be going back to the hospital with another kick back accident.

The only problem I have is with the arches, those are not easy. But at least those are the only repairs visible after all the trim is put on.

Today I continued with reinforcements welds on the beams running on the left side of the supra.
I also did some more around the spare wheel holder. I painted the hard to reach areas with primer.
That primer is easy to wipe of with some solvent when it's time for the real primer.

how far did you weld the frame up to the nose of the car it looks like you stopped under the feets up front under the front fenders theres a plate that goes from the door to the top of the wheel well and around the front shock towers to the frame cant remember if you did that or not

If I catch it right it is going to be a race car?
Tha battery tray looks cool -but this way you will not use your trunk am I right?

After rust repair and fixing everything what is the route?

Is the engine ok?Works without issues?(sorry but you have so many info in this thread that I cant remember what the engine situation is?)

We did almost the same with mine we even had to chop off the upper end of mine --we found so many rust -but we build it up and it came along very nice
Mine is an almost fully stock daily driver now

if you have some time check my buildthread it starts with the rust repair --she had rust at the same places like yours

I really like your thread and thanks a lot for sharing it with us...

i am curious about your plans with your engine and your future plans for more power,so if you have some time share some info about it

Good luck with your new grinder it looks fantastic

Just as far as you can see...so far.
Since I'm not pulling the engine and fixing the engine bay this time around, I don't want to destroy the paint to much there or risk burning morecables and what not.
But I'm going to see if I can reinforce weld the beams a little bit further. Which plate are you talking about?
