I was looking into the Bosch 044 pump too, but I was going to leave the mk4 intnk pump, and then run the Bosch inline with -8 an to the rail with stock return. Rather than 2 intank walbros.
Funny you mention that.......

Bosch 044 going into my Supra as a booster to the stock in-tank pump :)

I was running out of fuel past 400whp, so I figured this would help.

Looking at the 044, running it inline with a Walbro in tank with no sump, wouldn't the walbro be a restriction? Would it shorten the life of either pump?

I've got an Aeromotive, but I only want to put it on one car, the other one I want to try the 044.

at home i have a listing of all the popular pumps and the actual flow data and pressures listed as tested by rc engineering. I will post the data when i get home. The best pumps were the 044, and sx pump for around 600rwhp. This is a post from d-sport mag fuel system 101. Very good info

Also my car is running a single walbro at this time with a true 70mm turbo. At around 17psi at 4400rpm the fuel pressure dips then comes back up after 5500 and goes rich. In my book that says the walbro cant keep up the entire rpm range. So i have lowered the boost. This pressure drop creates a 12:1 af at this rpm range and as you know once detonation starts it is very hard to get it to stop.

Can the water injection help for those few seconds to prevent any detonation? :aigo:

I have the Walbro, the 550cc RC and the T4 A/R .70, I want to run in the track at 18psi so I’ll appreciate any advice:1zhelp:

By the way, some know or have a Aeromotive A11101 fuel pump?

run c16 at the track and knock back the base timing a bit also install a wideband or atleast go to the dyno for a good tune

I haven't heard of some of those brands, are they reliable? And how much does each flow, I can't read it off the pics?

good ideas, but might add to that.

c16 is probably not required, esp for only 18psi. too much octane will decrease hp.

wideband is a good idea, but you also again have to be careful w/ the octane. you can have safe a/f numbers but too much boost for the octane will cause detonation.

Why dont you drop dual walbros in the tanka nd forget about it. It is not the most reliable and simple setup but it is the cheepest. If you ahve the money go for the bigger pump.
http://www.supras.nl/
serch through there. You will find a flow charts of the most popular in tank pumps and if you go external what ever you buy the manufacturer will have flowcharts.

dont forget that most external pumps require 2 filters and that is additional $150-200 Also you need a fuel cell or sump in the tank. The pump will create some suction and pull hte fuel out of the tank but it is not recomended as it will significanly shorten its life.

I have been reading about those 044 pumps IJ, and I have found that they work well as an inline in between the pump in the tank. Therefore I have decided to buy 2 as a redundancy setup to place in between my dual walbros in my tank.
