thats why instead of 2 walbro pumps i opted for the aeromotive external. that pump is not for everyone tho.

Good point. What I learned elsewhere, but not in the trying to race 3650 luxobarges is a push puller external. They don't leave room for upgrades, but a good pump, and the external will probably move more than most can use.

"LOL @ 600rwhp on 1 walbro........ ummm yeah"

Ummm, its been done...with some trick wiring...do some research..:icon_conf
And I have seen them do 550rwhp several times safely..Didn't he say 550 was his goal?
600rwhp with what Turbo and at what pressure ratio?

Fine if you use a HUGE Turbo that will flow that at low boost but MOST 7M guys don't have large Turbos so run a small one at high boost which in turn needs a LOT of pump pressure/flow/volume to prevent the pump dead heading.

Wasn't trying to start shit by my comment but 600rwhp + high boost isn't going to happen safely.

now that we are finished bickering.

what is a better route for me to take.

i plan on running the hks to4z and around 550 or 600 hp

should i use the dual walbros or should i opt for the aeromotive inline unit?

whats the differance to just go with a in line pump instead of the in tank ones? I would think that the aermotive (sp?) would be a better idea.. I know with our mustangs all we did was inline pumps... but as ive come to learn these toyotas are always backwards compared to fords lol.

I have heard to do this you need to not have the internal pumps connected or the external pumps will eventually fail. Anyone ....Ian.....?

Agreed.....Thats what I did dual feed lines isolator and adirect wire with relays and all.....:naughty: :biglaugh:
About all I'd add to that is a couple of good quality non return valves in case a pump fails.

As for running pumps in series you're always going to be limited to the flow of the smallest pump.

I already sourced this out....finally found a place that has them 1/2 npt inlet outlet. Now to wire up a fail light signal as well.

Back when I played with my Crower Mechanical Injector on a BBC I sourced some really nice NRV's with AN ends on em that flowed very well with minimal restriction.

I found a company that makes nothing but inline connector check valves for air water and fuel. I got one to plumb to my idle speed control valve to keep the external valve from losing air under boost. The valves unseat at
.002psi and can be used up to 1-2" inline connections. I just have to buy 1/2" to what ever an connection needed.

Two stage fuel pump makes great sense pumps work better at lower delta p, use intank pump that flows good at low psi look at the low end of flow maps. so if you are looking to get 70 psi have the first pump 0 -> 35 psi and the second pump 35 -> 70 , both pumps only see 35 psi pressure differential. the result is getting your desired pressure and greater over all flow.

My favorite pump by the way is the Bosch 044, 200 LPH at 72.5 PSI and 13.5 V I believe it actually flows better than this, can be mounted in the tank with appropriate mods or inline.

Whoa! 200 LPH at 75 psi...the Walbro is 25-30 LPH at that pressure. That should flow plenty for any HP I can come up with on a 7M. How hard is the in tank install...heavier guage wire and an in hatch relay to handle the amps?

The hardest thing was messaging the tank to a larger opening to accomodate 2 pumps. The outer edge I cut wih metal shears, and less than an hour was done. Get insulator to kill magnetic interference and install on stock hangar.Get 2 30 amp relaya and wire to battery, and original wires for key switch activation.

"I'm not listening to you because the "advice" you're giving for a high HP motor is a recipe for blowing up that motor...it's just not credible."

My advise was not for you anyway, it was for twincam187. It seems that your only contribution to this thread is how in love you are with Quick and IJ.

Back on the subject..Does anyone have a writeup on how they did a dual walbro install. I know SoundPerformance can make a dual walbro setup out of your existing hanger for you for about $250. I might go that rout, since I don't trust my self with fuel.
