Kwnate i have this to ask....how much money do you have spent to obtain 800+hp outta a 7m? Prolly uber amt's of money.....drop that much into a ls1 ws6 or ss and go a lot faster.:evil2:......or your trailblazer ss:naughty:
More then you can afford buddy... SUPRA!

J/K :biglaugh:

Sure I put alot of money into, but I love mk3's. Why would I dump a bunch of money on the trailblazer, it can smoke most cars and it has a 7year warranty. We'll see what happens when the warranty is over.

mkIIIman089 - I could give my buddy the keys to Ryan Woon's supra, and I'd smoke him in my '88 Accord in the 1/4 mile.

He's THAT bad of a driver ;)
Man, I can hear the buddy yelling at you from here for that one! ;)

LS1s arent cheap to build either. My buddy has a 99 TA and he always talks about how he'd like to do stuff to his car, but you have to change so much to run bigger horsepower, and it's too much money for him. And i dont like a lot of imports but i dont hate them all. I dont like front wheel drive cars for racing, i think they look pretty stupid. But what kind of identity can you establish in an F-body. I see TAs, firebirds (which i know are the same thing, just a cheaper package), Camaros, vettes, mustangs, ect. multiple times 90% of the time im driving. Supras are rare. Most people dont know what the hell they are and think that my 87 is like a 97. I grew up around muscle cars and my family has always drag raced, but when i got into my moms supra, believe it or not she got me started, there was no looking back. My dad has a 406 bored over to a 409 78 camaro that's awesome. And he's had a 67 chevelle, and 2004 Mach 1 mustang, and none of them do anything for me. They look cool, but not after 1,045,987. Parts are priced high because we dont have a billion on the street, everyone has their own opinions and that's okay, but IMO supra>all.

HAHAHA yah i hear ya....id love to be able to afford a car like yours kwnate.....but i cant. So, i went with my favorite car that i can make fast for not a whole lot of money. The reason i sounded pissed off is i hate being grouped into the mullet wearing, 80's rock band listening, and generally stupid people......yes i own a 3rd gen......but im not a hillbilly who hates imports. BTW, my sn is a inside joke between friends....:biglaugh:

and another thing on the topic of import vs domestic, my buddy says there's a thread on ls1tech about all supra drivers being rich boys that are nothing but smart ass punks with daddy's money. On the contrary, i have never once ran into a V8 guy that didnt think he wasn't going to smoke my "dumb ricer ass" (in his mind) while he was revvin on me. Even my buddy said that if he didnt know me and my car, he would definitely rev on me and think he was going to smoke me.

I always thought of it like this.

American - pricey to build up but can take a beating over the long run.
Jap - Cheap to build up but breaks fast when beat on.

I dont know if thats accurate at all lol, just what I think based on no thing really.

LOL! At least you realize your mistake!! Many never do :D

H8r, get a set of GTA crosslaces, pull the ground efx, and lower the car 2" - the '82-84 TAs were, imho, the best looking of the 3rd gens!

That's actually kind of funny - my friend (that can't drive for shit) actually sold his Supra because, in his words, "It was too expensive to keep up properly" - that's why I gave him my '88 Camaro to build up.

Say what you want about the 350 SBC - it's fucking cheap to build, and you can buy parts ANYWHERE!

Everyone has their own idea of what the ultimate car is??? Who's to say who is right or wrong??? What does it for me is a Gay Blue MK3 Supra!!!

I personally think its a shame that people cant at least appreciate something other than what they have.

As far as imports vs domestics I have owned both!!! To me reliability and resale are important so I avoid domestics.

WOW almost my EXACT plan! Im keeping the ground gx though, but i plan on the black 16in gta/trans am rims, lower 1.5in to 2 in...........keep the 82-84 tails......maybe take grill deletes out and put the grills back in.....

lol...seriously though, I'd prefer Imports over domestic for a DD/modified street car. But we all know real sport cars don't need to be modified.

yah ill drive civic, celica, or something crap so i dont have to worry bout accidents or etc......so my nice trans am doesnt rack up the miles. My point is dollar for dollar the third gen platform is cheaper and faster than a 7mgte. Also, i can set my car up for auto-x easily so the whole f-body cant turn is a crock of crap. Another thing, i can go and buy a 4th gen trans am and really scoot for cheap.

I like my 92 4 door honda accord....good car. Something about driving a domestic that I don't like, idk.
