Josh with my thin hair it would only take about 3 seconds with that bad mf. NICE.

This is the first weekend I've been home since before Christmas, started prep for removing the motor last night :) Took me about 2hrs to rearrange stuff and figure out where to put a 4th motor in the garage lol.

Unless I blow the Escort up at the track tonight and have to work on it, I should have the rod knockin' 7m out by the end of the weekend...

Good luck at the track tonight, and even more luck getting the 7m out in a timely fashion with no hurt knuckles.

Got some decent work in today, about 80% there as far as prep for pulling the engine. Should have it out tomorrow :) Also got the interior pulled out of the Escort for tonight, off to the track I go, hoping for 14's :D

Just got home (yes it's 3AM, driving 80mi takes a while..), best run was a 14.5@97mph in the corn wagon:

Must have been the #:

A few people got a taste of my license plate frame:

I'm super-stoked, my $100 beater with $600 worth of turbo stuff kicked some arse and was still driveable at the end of the night :evil2:. Beat a turbo beetle and a grand am handily and finished at the back bumper of a couple of 4.6L Mustangs and a WRX (above run).

Did find some bad news during my Supra teardown, though. CT26 has some chipped fins, looks like I may have to use the T70 now instead of waiting until I put the 2J in:

Good thing I bought another harness (yes that is speaker wire soldered into the engine harness):

Just ordered some block pins, mkiv mounts (98tt, right? lol), and a coolant pipe plug from Jeff W. They were about $100 cheaper on everything than the local dealer. Champion Toyota FTW!

Should be able to put my motor together once the pins are here, got a $35 used titan mhg and a can of permatex ready to go :evil2:

Oh yea, here's a vid of my 14.5 run in the Escort:

Figure I'll see when I get there, I may end up running a surge tank setup like hottscennessey with a 044...

No I am telling you it will be teetering and when you teeter, you blow motors up! :)

I been through this excercise nearly three years ago already and had direct contact with all the big boys of the fuel world (Weldon, Aeromotive, MagnaFuel, BG pump, Product Engineering). I got a weldon 2345 and called it a day.

Just do the sump right of the bat!

I think a surge tank will work well. I saw your E85 post and it was definitely some nice work, but I'm not trying to turn this into a high dollar project. I started with an Escort afterall lol. I've got a wideband and a good ear for deto (Escort) so I'll push it till I run out of fuel and go from there... I've got an extra motor too if all else fails :)

Went to the dyno at lunch today in the Escort, first pull is at 9psi and the second is at 13psi:

Pretty happy with the results, not too bad for a tiny turbo and a bunch of junkyard parts :D

If anyone in the Austin area needs dyno time, I highly recommend Motion Dynamics. They were really great to deal with and only charge $50 for 2 pulls with AFR tracking.

Time to get crackin' on the Supra:naughty:

I don't know how much one Walbro is suppose to be good for, but I was told it wouldn't be enough for my 500rwhp but it was. If anything, I always run a bit rich while on the dyno. I will probably have to add another walbro when I get my 1.5jz ready, but how do you know. If you're getting plenty of fuel and your afr's are good, does that mean that your one walbro is enough?

Pretty good numbers on the escort Dok. Now get busy on the supra.

As long as the Walbro doesn't die (or go postal) for being overworked:biglaugh:
