I agree with tekdeus.... If you make some side marker lights people will buy them hand over fist. Just make sure it is competitive in price with these products:
http://www.clearcorners.com/products/toyota/supra7/
Considering of course they already have full LED conversions and come as complete units.

This seems a bit complicated to install and most people prefer to do the 89+ US model brake light conversion. I myself love my 88 so I might be willing to spend more to keep it original looking. I was thinking to buy the LED converted tail lights by that company above, but $1900 is too pricey for me but I'm considering buying their side markers and front signal lights.

For simplicity of shipping and install I think the side marker lights will be a quick easy sell. I'd buy a set right now it they were available. Also, I think the vast majority of people prefer the 89+ 3 pce tail lights (which are already red and clear) so the market is limited with the 87-88's.

Hi tekdeus, thanks for that. I'll have to admit my ignorance on all the rear variants :1zhelp: Have you got a link to a pic I can see of the 3 pce tail? Is that that different to the JDM model which is the one I thought had the other type of amber shield inside which could removed?

Side markers will be the next project, but having to make 4 moulds, using 2different materials to make one small pair and successfully bond them together, is beginning to look like a labour of love as a job in it's own right.

Those lenses definitely give those taillights new life wolfie! I love it... too bad I just don't like the look of the 86-88 rear.. ;)

I'm still interested in clear front markers though.

Wolfie, I sent you a PM let me know if you're interested or not. Thanks.

Sounds interesting, I'll see how I get on sorting a pair of top quality units. I'm still also doing further trials spraying parts of the internals in chrome. This will further enhance the overall upgrade IMHO. Round the reverse lens looks a bit dark too and I think this could be brightened up a bit too(however some may well prefer the slightly ' smoked' look of the original)

Will keep you posted of developments

Those tail lights on that link are teh sex! I would rock the pre 89 tails just to have those! I agree that 1900 is way to pricy though. And did you see what it said on the 89+ tails. Call for info, in other words, MORE MONEY THAN YOU GOT!

Hi there born2drv,

Well I am a man of my word, and Wolfie always delivers the goods.......literally just finished your rear conversions and even by my high standards, these ARE the Mutt's !! They're so shiny, they're Blingtastic :evil2:

Here's a few shots with slightly different lighting and one with an amber bulb just rested in position as I don't have the correct bulb holder

I'll P.M you my email address to send download for shipping label and payment. I'll also include a pair of amber and a pair of silver bulbs

These are about as exclusive as it gets........there's only 2 other pairs in existance - and they're both in the U.K :naughty:

A person who has the jack to spend 2 grand on tail lights for the mark 3 must be rich and already have everything else imaginable done to the car.

Totally agree........completely out of proportion with the value most Mk3's... and mine are a fraction of the price :naughty:

One of my best pieces of work IMHO ......shame the interest will be mostly for the U.K market.

beautiful, i'm very excited ;) how much is shipping? give me your address if you want me to email you a return shipping label from my fedex account. or if you want to ship it for me, let me know how much i owe you.

starscream - i didn't pay anywhere close to $2k for wolfie's version, granted they're not LEDs but they still look great.... but they weren't cheap either! :p

ps - wolfie do they come with the back portion and bulbs? what kind of bulbs do you use/recommend?

Will be easiest if you can email me shipping label, I will pack and advise weight by P.M and you can deduct the cost from our agreed price.

Have P.M'd you my direct details.

Re bulbs.....many people prefer amber as they seem to give better visibility, but I use Philips Silver Vision......not sure if available in U.S. I don't have the bulb holders to give you a pic of the whole unit lit, but you can be sure that it'll be a whole lot brighter than the oriiginal

Kinda like mine, I removed the amber a long time ago

There's a huge difference between just smashing out the amber insert and dismantling the whole unit, chroming the internals and replacing the amber with an OEM style copy. Think you'll notice the difference at once closer up.....check out my earlier pics :biglaugh:

That's why I describe a lot of what I do as 'detail styling'........it's rather like whispering in your ear as opposed to screaming at you from 2 blocks away....appreciated by enthusiasts, but missed by the masses LOL....... but I totally accept your point
