I am going to buy a carbon fiber hood and just to match, I am also going to buy the carbon fiber targa top. Im not doing it at all to save weight Im doing it because it would look good. Just my 2 cents.

Point me in the direction of whoever is selling them (a package deal group buy from a sponsor would be sweet) and I'm with you.

Yeah, I'm relatively new here so I missed it. Someone needs to do another and package it with a cf targa top. I found the guy on ebay who is selling them and they look pretty sweet. I may have to order one. Has anyone else ordered one yet?

You dont have to spend that much to do it.
I saw someone in the forums here or SF he layed CF sheets & resin over the metal in the engine bay for the look! Im sure it will add some stength also.

Why not just order a sheet the raw material is cheap then apply resin then you accomplish the look but a lot cheaper.

Most aircraft are made out of aluminum

With a couple exceptions
The Stealth Bomber my Grandfather worked for boeing on these as an engineer and he nearly fired a PR lady because she was wearing high heals and her 125lb frame on high heals punched through the stealth CF skin into the honycomb layer.
The F22 is compsite rapid mfg of these planes depleted the CF in the industry.

The SR-71 Blackbird (mostly titanium we used russias whole supply to build these)
