i may have to give it a try then.. as long as its ok on the motor? only thing i can see is that the e85 would just help up the octane

y= gallons of e-85 (105, yes this is the high end estimate of what you might find)
(x * 93) + (y * 105) /(X+Y)= new octane rating
that math looks good, grim and early mornings =

in order to run alchohol/ethanol you have to replace all of the rubber in your fuel system with viton or teflon. Just for starters.

Miss the sign that says "contains up to 10% ethanol?"
One of the main reasons I'm against people removing their charcoal canisters as the ethanol is the first part to evaporate, leaving you with lower octane and inviting detonation.
Well that about states it all right now. Jsut to let you know PURE E100 is harder to spark on start up. At the college I am at right now we have a 1992 Mustang that runs on E100 or 100% Ethanol. The fuel pump the lines the injectors and much more had to be changed. If you do this the engine does not need to be messed with. I will tell you though, E100 Burns faster... then Gasoline so if you have a 20 gallons tank your only getting about 10 gallons. The way we start the car up after it sits over night is starting fluid, we've run a 12.1 so far with it, and all the car has is a V8 no force induction.jmanbball;1119689 said:If you run e85, you have to replace just about your whole fuel system, because the factory pump, lines and fuel rail aren't compatible with alcohol, and will quickly fail due to corrosion.

But did you test under pressure and heat, and without pressure? I betcha that can change a lot.figgie;1120397 said:well
seeing as I was one of the first running E85 (back in 2005).
Has anyone actually had a gallon of E85 or E99 and submerged rubber, viton, AQP, mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel etc in it for an extended period of time? Anyone? Buller?
Rate of decomposition?
Rate of absorbtion?
(ps I know the anser so you best carry a "big gun" when you answer the question I posted).
