I'm getting tired of arguing with people about ECU's and Power, when they are still on stock twins.

Never again will I show supramania products that actually help the community.

Hmmmm, stock twins? I think not, I'm rolling with a 426rwhp singled 1J sporting emanage blue (soon to be stinger controlled). I think I know what I'm talking about.

If i remember right, Tissimo did 290whp on his single at the Supra meet on eblue when I did 276whp on a bone stock 1J :biglaugh:

Why don't you answer my question? :stickpoke

Is it or is it not your opinion that a 1800 dollar Mine's ECU is a better investment than a standalone EMS??

I asked you so many pages ago and all you do is tap dance around the question like usual. Maybe you won't answer because you know saying yes would sound silly.

Depends on the application. If your car is a street car, no matter what, your not going to get over 500whp on 93 octane, less on 91. There is zero need for a stand alone.

If your car is a track or dyno queen that sees 30psi, yes the only way is to go stand alone or mapecu2.

And I've done 293whp on stock twins with a Mine's ECU and other mods. What's your point?

Answer my other question, please.

I also did 310whp on a stock automatic 1JZGTE with nothing but a SARD ecu and a home depot boost controller.
at 14, 18 and 20 psi.. all the same dyno graph.... depending what point you're trying to prove

I will see over 500 on pump. I will make a friendly wager on that but I am on a 3.0L

The most I was able to get on stock boost was 290whp. That was still with stock SMIC and plastic balloon pipes which made my chart look like a seismometer

What makes you think no one can make over 500hp on 91/93 pump? Is that not dependant on the turbo, boost level, and MANY other factors and variables? You think people don't have easy access to fuel with higher octane levels? Even on pump gas, do you seriously believe there is no benefit of a standalone? What about all the possible tuning where a normal stock ECU would be in closed loop?

You still haven't even answered the question. Do you believe a Mine's ECU is a better investment than a standalone EMS?? It's a yes or no question. Don't write me a novel.

It's always good to get into pissing wars, because in the end.. two cars are never the same and respond totally different to the same mods.

it's too bad we can't call Pinks and have all you guys go for it with your setup.
That would be FUN !

This topic is about 1JZ's. Not even the 1046whp stock bottom end 1JZ did 500whp on 93. Nitrous doesn't count.

It's a simple fact that if everyone on here that has a stand alone and was a GREAT tuner, they'd be working as a tuner full time. It's also a fact that not everyone wants to play with settings 24x7 to drive their car to get mcdonalds when a cold front rolls by and they have to retune.

My time is worth money, and I don't get paid to fuck with my own car to get a burger.
