update:

so i'm waiting for my turbo flanges to be remade so i can start mocking up turbo placement. for now i found a new home for the alt and managed to squeeze in the 7m power steering pump. i just need to swap the pulley to a 6 rib. the alt looks a bit funny because i need to grind off the other tab. i will probably great a "cup" bracket that attaches to the bolt next to the alt, and then the belt will just keep the alt right to the motor.

excuse the first pic.. my camera was in the wrong mode prolly. i still have to modify the alt to fit, but it should fit in just fine... tight squeeze

so some updates. the flanges i had cut came in yesterday so i spent the night and thismorning cutting them and having my buddy weld up the pieces. i also scored some piping from his garage as well for the manifolds. :evil2: so here's where i ended today, i also received my maft pro from voodoo on the forums so thats a plus. project is definatly moving. the pics show where the turbos will sit, both need to be slightly rotated, but thats easy to do with my brackets

Are you going to use MR2 turbine housings Bryan?

wasnt planning to. is there a reason to the mr2 housings? i figure i already had one rebuilt ct26 and another supra one was cheap so i went with that. i already have all the flanges made for the supra one too.

updates.. well i'm planning to pull the motor tomorrow to make the turbo manifolds, but tonight i got bored and decided to throw together some 3" bends i bought for my exhuast, but probably wont use most of the peices and i managed to come out with this with no cutting to any of the pipes i got.. (i bought a lot of bends off ebay for 35 bux) what do you guys think? everything seems to line up perfect. the only thing i'm not sure about is using alumized steel pipes. they are a tad heavier.
the benefits are: i already have them, i dont have to pay someone else to weld them since my buddy can weld steel pretty good, and everything fits without cutting now. (may have to cut a small 45 but no biggie) The 3" aluminum pipe kit from ebay is about $100 shipped then another $100 to weld everything up.
the downsides: heavy, may rust?

either way i go i plan on doing a wrinkle black finish to it.... what's your opinions?

SO this past day was alot of busy work, i started making the turbo manifolds and we got most of the manifold welding done then we ran out of welding gas.. so i'm stuck there until i can get time to run over to a shop. i wish they were open on weekends.. that would make life so much easier. but here are the pics. nothing really has been cleaned up yet. the passenger side turbo will be shifted outwards a tad still. i also need to install a flange so i can remove that turbo just in case the alternator goes. But these pics will give you an idea of how everything will lay out. All the exhuast pipes are pretty much tac welded. (my first time welding, my buddy was busy so he couldnt help me tac)

on with the pics :)

Looking good Bryan! Will you be shielding the oil filter or relocating it? It looks like the exhaust pipe on the driver side is running close to the oil filter but it could just be the angle it was taken at.

i will be making a sheild for both manifolds, the angle makes it look alot closer than it is lol. i used some oxidized pipe for the manifolds so everything needs to be wirebrushed... everything will be painted and then heat wrapped as well. cant wait for this to be done!
