Just to show we are not just a bunch of copy cats, here is another little project that we have been working on.

This is for all those people tired of cracking/breaking subframes.

We sincerely want to HELP BUILD MKIII OPTIONS for parts.

Enjoy, details will be updated as they are available.

Peace & Love

I think it's great that someone is trying to build more parts for the MKIII, what is wrong with you clowns? I built mine myself. I origonally got the idea from Ultra 7m's car (Ernest). I made a pattern with cardboard then traced it out on a sheet of aluminum, rolled the edges with a bead roller and hand polished it. It's held in place with velcro tabs. I would not build another one for less than $200, so this is a good deal here people.

^-sexy block off. I'm gonna steal your methods from you. Oh noes! SM members will jump me in an alleyway some dark, rainy night because of it. n Guess the holes better be a different shape. Maybe mine will be hexagon shapes instead!

"Oh no, parts are so expensive for the supra!"

You guys make it that way...

That's my dollar and 50 cents..

Wow, looking good, I would be interested in one also. Can't believe I haven't read this thread until now. Anxious to see it on the car, keep up the good work Jeff!

I would deff take one if the mounting was different. I would want one similar to how like the STI ones are. Bolted in. Screw pressure fitting them in. That is asking for problems down the line.

Good point.

Can those adjustments still be made or it is too late? I wonder if anyone has had any issues with that?

That would make it a pain taking it off when you need to check your coolant. Yeah, we all know MKIII owners never have to do that. :icon_wink

I can tell you that I've had no problems withe the CFX one moving around or popping out. It gets wedged in there pretty good.

You could easily create your own washer out of whatever material you want to hold the plate under the hood rubber bump stops.

Maybe the plate could be made with a smaller hole around the bump stop (same as the YSR) but with a perforation so people who don't want it secured that way could just pop it out with a bit of work.

Edit: Just thought about it some more. A C-clip shaped wedge would probably give you the best of both worlds. Easy removal with more security.

Bolted in may not be realistic as many have pointed out. You cannot easily get to the coolant overflow. We have a few ideas for the coolant tank but are not addressing it at this time. Simple, looks good, and easily removable, that's are goal right now.

It will be universal. We are looking at making poly and solid bushings.

I don't care if you copy mine, I would be honored...................and no that's not me with the tat's.

I made two little ledges out of aluminum angle and screwed them into the radiator support, one near each end. The ledges have velcro on them and on the bottom of the plate, it holds the plate in very firmly. It's a breeze to just pull it up to check the coolant and also to polish the plate.

Good luck with these.
