finally had some good weather today, nice and sunny, so some stuff came in and i got some work done.

got the vband for the new turbo and the return fitting on the fuel rail
p1520278_1.jpg

p1520278_2.jpg

hacked off the T88 flange from the DP, just waiting on the turbo to mock up and finish the vband on it.
p1520278_3.jpg

looks ugly, but itll do the job and not be seen, this deletes the hard line off the back of the water pump.
p1520278_4.jpg

took a lil modifying, but i got the cf headlight covers on as well. also just realized my i/c is crooked, thatll be addressed tomorrow
p1520278_5.jpg

and lastly, got the fuel rail done, bolted up, return line on, and the inlet line and filter done for the ISCV

more updates, more parts

2 things from Aaron and DM

ARP FW bolts again (2nd set ive had, first went to the new owner of my OSG single plate) and a 3" elbow for the turbo
p1521175_1.jpg

p1521175_2.jpg

custom disk i ordered from Spec, i like their clutches more than centerforce. according to the tech i talked to, this disk with the CF PP should hold enough for now
p1521175_3.jpg

Resurfaced flywheel
p1521175_4.jpg

and lastly, i decided to pull the p/s system off the car completely. so heres the motor as is, turns out the spare pulley for the tensioner on my grand am works perfectly

Looking good Ben. At least someone is making some progress. Mine is still in the paint shop. Once I get it out, I want to replace fuel lines and maybe some larger injectors. These 624's that I have are pretty close to being maxxxed out.

with those injectors, and your power, you are def near the limits that they can do. i wish i could say my car is in for paint

Big day for me, finally got the turbo back. Majestic Turbo does some damn good work!

My 624's can handle what I'm doing because it's got the added benefit of meth. I don't know what I want to get yet. I may end up going to a top feed injector and changing out the fuel rail and everything while Im at it. Do you have any suggestions. I'm only wanting to turn the boost up to about 26psi every now and then to make about seven hundred. I shouldn't need anything larger than some 800 cc's.

Congrats on the big ass'd turbo.

Ben, how is your pcv hooked up? I'm going to redo mine with a good catch can when I find one. I think I'm going to install the stock pcv valve into it's original location, drill a big -10 or -12 line in the back of the drivers side valve cover, T it into the passengers side VC with another -10 or -12 and then run it into the catch can.

ahh didnt know about the meth, you can go with bigger side feeds, but youd want to open up the rail some more, buddy of mine does that, biggedy huge ass long drill bit. Do you have E85 near you? if you do i'd set your car up for that. then you can easily do 26psi without needing meth or race gas. thats what im setting mine up for. i'd honestly do top feeds, better flow, and alot cheaper to buy.

mine is just two -8 lines, one from each valve cover into the catch can, with the crossover in between still in place. a little small, but the lines and fittings were free from my old job, so i couldnt complain. eventually will go to -10 or -12 when i redo the valve covers to a diff color. the powdercoat was an experiment on the color. the way you wanna do it would def work nice. itd be more hidden as well.

update for today.

theres no pics of me beating the crap out of the trans tunnel to clearance for the bell-housing/adapter/transmission

got the bronze sleeve to center the slave cylinder on the input shaft cover. also got the anti-spin stud put into the front plate of the trans
p1526216_1.jpg

not much new in the engine bay except that re-mounted my catch can and lucked out that my lines still fit just fine. getting the elbow welded onto the compressor housing tomorrow
p1526216_2.jpg

little bit of cleaning up in the interior. still a long way to go tho. need to make mounts to put the aem up on the firewall behind the glovebox.
p1526216_3.jpg

and after finishing the fuel system and putting the diff back up, the axle slipped out and fell into my nose causing it to bleed a good amount, this was around midnight and i got rather pissed and yelled fuck loud enough to wake my neighbors, made me laugh about it after that

damn looking great bro...i hate bloody noses make my eyes water than people think im going to cry haha

ya, a bloody nose serves no purpose other than pissing you off

progress for the weekend, didnt feel 100% saturday so i didnt do shite on the car. today, got a couple lil things done, tomorrow ill be finishing the tunnel beating and put the trans up to start work on modifying the cross member to work.

re-did the mounts for the front mount, and finished tightening up the piping. going to be doing a front bumper mod similar to Mobes (i already asked him and he said its cool with him) so now the intercooler is in the proper position for that. also put a coat of black paint on it. im de-badging the entire car, i dont want anything to really stand out anymore on it, no turbo stuff, not even the euro turns or bubble sides.
p1527037_1.jpg

heres the engine with the 76GTS completely installed, all lines on and the piping connected, just need to modify the downpipe now, but i have to have the trans and main pipe on to do that
p1527037_2.jpg

trans ready to go in for the shifter hole modding and all, had to knock off a couple ears that stuck out too much.

Well I have clear, so if you want those, I could do a little cahs on top.

What is your bumper going to look like? I see you just cut the bumper in two spots and took that out, but doesn't that support the cover?

might still take clears, going to tint whatever set i get. and as for the bumper, the sides still have room for the studs on the very ends to hold it on, but there would be no room for the center part with the duct im going to do
