Do you guys have any 11 seconds MKIII Supras that run 11 seconds on the quarter mile? Any tip or tricks to getting there? I just wanted to know what would be the best way to build an 11 second MKIII Supra and what kind of parts I would need. And I also have another thread like this in the Turbo Tech section but I guess it's in the wrong section because no one is replying so I'd appreciate if someone could move or delete it. Thanks.

yeah i'd like if it was street legal and I prefer a 5 speed to be honest

5 speed is always the harder way to run a 1/4 mile. Without changing anything but the transmission, an 11 sec 1/4 mile 5-speed car becomes a 10 sec car.

HAHAHA. We don't have a lame ass 1/8 mile track here. We only run a FULL 1/4 here. :biglaugh: Why don't you go and look for some torque. I think it is on sale right now :sarcasm:

hahaha if 814 horsepower can only run 11s on a 1/8th then ill just give up right now

LMAO I haven't run this set-up at the track. It will be faster than 11's and maybe 10's too :naughty:

10 seconds is crazy. I'd probably blow parts all the time lol. But yeah I dunno why I just really don't want an automatic. I've always liked the 5 Speed when it comes to racing. UpgradedSupra are you running on an automatic transmission as well? I also don't get how this works either because so many people tell me that standard transmission gets more horsepower to the wheels and then a whole bunch of other people tell me that automatics faster for quarter mile and stuff. Can someone explain this to me?

I run an R154 5SPD here. Autos are generally faster do to them not having to shift each gear like us stick guys down the track. (They keep boost between shifts) It is that simple.

You shouldn't have a problem with a proper clutch and knowing when to shift. He is just pissed that Shep transmissions cost a lot.
If he rags on you too much, ask him if he took his crank for a walk recently:sarcasm:
