But where's the fun in that?

I've noticed you've been very Anti-automatic this whole thread.
So I just have to ask.

Have you ever actually driven a fast Auto trans Supra?
..Or just a fast Auto trans CAR, alone?

If not. Try it sometime. You'd be shocked to probably find this "fun" you talk about.

I dont doubt autos at all. I've said before that autos are for slow cars and really really fast cars. I still much prefer shifting myself. People look at me weird when I drive my mom's RX300 but shift manually. Fuck the stock shift habits, thats not when I want to shift!

How do you think that people shift any GM auto in a supra?

Yep, been in a fast auto car.

Straight line isn't my thing, though it is fun...

If you do Auto-X, Drift or any other Road Course racing,
Then it's completely understandable.

But on the flipside, I've seen quite a few Auto Supras absolutely TEAR up road courses before.

A properly tuned car with a properly built Auto will out run a stick 9 out of 10 times....

Only because the shift malfunction between human and machine is alot less...

I good driver in a stick can take a auto... but I bet there is maybe 1 out 500 people here that would even think about shifting with out touching clutch peddle...

I would be number one then.

But you're old IJ ;)

My car came with an R154 and it's not going to change anytime soon. If I had an auto originally I might have gone the route you have as the tranny controller sounds sweet.
