Um, I don't think that came out right, were you being sarcastic, or have you
gotten fed up with the lack of support too?

Jeff

my deleted response was a sarcastic reply to aaron's reply.

personally, i'd like to know WHAT more people want....the MAFT pro has been far more supported than ANY other piggyback out there. short of making it install and tune itself, i'm not sure of what more needs to be done...

hard for me to get fed up w/the support, i AM the support! (to a point...)

Dr Jonez, I'd love to sit down with you and Rich and go over the MAFT-Pro, and the stuff I'd like to add. I have free long distance and free
three way calling, so whenever you think yo umight have time, PM me .

I don't disagree that lots of time has been spent on tech support, but that's because the instructions were not complete and the software was not finished.

So basically the hac mod is complicated and it is proprietary info, and you need to send it in to fullthrottlespeed for modification. I'm fine with that.

I appreciate your support DrJ.

yeeeps, that's correct...sort of.

the '89+ HAC mod isn't *that* serious, but it isn't for the electronics noob. because of that, we offer the service free of charge.

as with the rest of the MKIII info, i will be publishing a document on the HAC mod as well....some day. i need more time....40hrs in a day anyone?

i'd love to as well. the only downside is that time is not something i have any of @ this point. your best bet is to type it all out, that way i can reply w/a few spare seconds here/there.

I know what the theory is behind the HAC mod... cut the circuitboard trace between the internal HAC and the main chip, then solder some wires to each end and run them outside the casing.

I haven't pulled my ECU apart, and after that I'm assuming some tedious googling to find which module is a pressure sensor. It's on my list of things to do, I just haven't gotten there yet.

If you & Dr. J (or a moderator) wouldn't mind, please edit my last name from your posts. Thanks. :icon_bigg

Hey, if anyone who knows the location of the internal pressure sensor on the 89+ ECUs feels like pointing me in the right direction, here are some reference pictures of the inside of the ECU.

I'm working on a GTE setup and I needed to clean up and patch a bunch of the wiring. So, while I was at it I put together what I hope is a clean and easy to follow wiring diagram. Anyone care to let me know if I forgot any connections?

This is for an '88. I'll put together one for 89+ later.

Thanks!

EDIT: updated diagram

I'm planning on one for timing control, another for boost control, one for translator mode, versions with and without the LC-1, etc. for both GTE's and GE's pre89 and 89+... no ETA though.

I've got something else I want to talk to you about Bob, so don't go anywhere. ;)

Very clear diagram... I like it!

You may want to clarify the blue wire ground point (not the source, the ground point) ... see http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42600 for more info.

Yeah, it is best to run them along their own wire all the way to the same ground point.

Has anyone had an issue with running them to the ECU's harness ground though and not the block?

The HAC is the IS121 part, look on the side and you will see the small hole where the air goes in...... (the hole is in the side away from the camera in the picture....)
