Thanks for the great write up on the MAFTPRO. I've got a few questions for you - some may seem pretty basic knowledge.....

1. I don't have a wideband, What do I do with the 2 wires you have labeled going to the wideband? Just leave them?

2. When installing the AIT sensor, The 3000 pipe is a good/recommended location correct?

3. There is a section where you mention a 'HAC modified ECU'. Do all Supras have this? If I'm understanding correctly, some Supras have this and some don't. If not, I don't need to worry about it correct?

4. When you switch to speed/density, you can basically just attatch an air filter to the accordian hose, correct?

5. With the MAP Sensor. If I mount it in your location, which vacuum line should I T into? Or what if mounted by the firewall?

6. After installing the MAFTPro, I plan to have the vehicle dyno tuned. Besides what you have already noted in your post and install directions, are there other checks one can do on the PRO to make sure it is correctly installed so that I'm not to rich or more importantly lean on the 3 hour drive to the dyno?

7. Any reason why you did not install the boost control solenoid?
Or did you?

Thanks alot for your help!

1. yes.

2. yes that will work

3. 89+ has internal HAC. If you dont live in an area with extreme elevations then its not completely necessary.

4. yes

5. put the map sensor wherever you like, hook up vacuum to the intake plenum, post t/b.

6. Read the bottom of the maftpro instruction pages I listed above. They tell you what MP, MT, and TPS should be. The base settings on the unit are set rich to keep you out of trouble.

7. I have one on the way. ;)

1. Make sure the maftpro w/b ground wire and grund wire on the w/b itself are on the SAME ground source.

2. unplug the Hac sensor and follow the 87-88 diagram listed above for where to tap in the Hac wire coming from the maftpro.

I also give up the bump.

Mine is on the way along with the LC 1 wideband. I guess I want to have all my bases covered so I can get it in on a Saturday afternoon and still have the wife's minivan to make any last minute parts runs.

My apologies for not searching enough as many of my questions in a thread I just started are answered.

Again thanks for taking the time to simplify this for some of us MAF PRO newbies.

Thanks
Wayne
