Don't scrap it, turn it into a full track car man! Get rid of the WHOLE interior, your AC and remove the heater. Then get an AIM dash that Wiisass is selling and you wont need any of that stock instrumentation. Remove the entire dash and build a little sheetmetal one to hold any additional gauges!!! TRACK CAR!

firewall is warped from the heat... who knows about the windsheild frame...

possible to repair? probably, but it's not going to be cheap...

get an estimate from a a bodyshop to repair the warped metal and see where you stand...

I wish I could fellas...i loved that chassis. It was perfect. I do not even believe I will be doing a rebuild either. The cost of acquiring the donor vehicle, tuning electronics(all got toasted in one way or another), harnesses and wiring will end up being more than buying another completed ride. 1Jed already rides that r in damn good shape are running 6-8K. I love building rides...but the cost just doesnt fit. Im figuring...and I always overfigure because everything always costs more than the estimate:

-Donor car in good shape - 1500
-Tuning equipment (SAFC, wideband, boost gauge, oil gauge, temp gauge etc) - 1100
-1J Wiring, ECU and Misc burnt things from this engine - 1200
-Turbo kit from 935 bc aint no way in hell imma b twins after all this - 2000
-Misc whatever that always comes up when u doing stuff - 1000

Total - 6800

I am figuring if I do this shell the most I can save would be 500.

Nothing is upsetting me more than wanting to rebuild this project but knowing it will not be financially smart. It's a damn shame....Let me know what yall think. I know it can be done for cheaper but I dont wanna cheap out....especially after this....

I wouldnt give up 6000 is still cheaper then a new car!
By the way i bought my black 86 supra running in perfect shape for 1200
You have all the sensors for your engine check the rear coil pack thats it the engine should be fine so all you need to do is repair the wiring!

I have the exact thing you need! i have the ECU & wires and plugs going into the ECU but not the end sensors because i went to a stand alone ecu

Front windshield is only about 100 -200$ replace the front core if its warped.
Its very fixable and cheaper then a new car.

modding these cars isn't financially smart int eh first place as you'll never get the money back...

You really need an estimate on how bad it is body wise, and if it's fixable. If it is, don't screw around getting a new wiring harness and crap, go standalone and be ahead of the game...

Standalone would definately be the way to go. Now i'm not saying it wont take some money, but with some money, if you're going to spend it either way, buying a new supra or fixing this one, fix this one and (once again) build it for track duty. Building it for track duty could also save you some $$$ since you dont have to make it all pretty again.

Are you kidding!? I see regular old ones here all the time. Granted they're not all turbos and autos, but there's still alot of them around. Driven by old ladies ontop of that!

I am hoping someone will take the carcass instead of me sending it to the crusher...but its not looking promising. I will still put it in the for sale section b4 i give up n send her to her fate.

Block is fine rear pair coil packs are not.
Are you parting her out so her parts may live in other supras ?
I have a spare firewall from my old supra but i didnt cut it in the right spots i cut the vin area off it also its like the center section prob not good for changing the whole thing if i would have known i would have cut it out so you could use it. I wish the best for you and your supra.
