Why not stop by his house and take a look for yourself :p

In actuality he has the inverter in the back, next to the battery. It's hardwired in, but has a relay turning it on (in the coin holder iirc) then some regular wires going to an outlet.

^^^ yep stave has it correct only the relay is in back next to the inverter. The outlet up front was a piece from a broken light at a work bench I found at work years ago.

Now where and now to mount this "box"? Thinking behind the steering wheel some where???? But how to hold it in place is the next question.
Where have you guys mounted your AFX? This thing is HUGE.

^^^ I thought maybe even where the ash tray used to be, but I'm thinking the number that is displayed is pretty important wile under boost. I dont think it would be to safe to look over at it under boost. Thinking some where in a ez spot to "glance" at it or in the peripheral vision ??

Side note, Sean how is the v8 coming along? Long time no see/talk.

My AEM is a bit smaller, but you know its where the ashtray used to be. I like it because its low-key and out of the way, plus I'll never use an ashtray in my sup ;)

Rob, it is beginning to look like this is going to be a very fun spring and summer. I have been meaning to call you. My wife has never ridden on a sled before and before you know it the snow will be gone. Would love to arrange for her to get a ride lined up.

Could a guy get creative with some fiberglass and a spare upper steering column trim to mount that thing in?

Edit: this is one gauge holder they make for Evo's and Subaru's, maybe if you felt ambitious, you could make a mold for your wideband to mount similarly

Good plan with having it in clear view, I found it rather difficult to drive and watch the gauge while in boost.

As of right now, the car is still a snow pile behind the garage blocked in by wood scrapes from when the garage was built. Engine is on the stand and is waiting for me to break down and spend more money on it.
It has been a long time, everything going well for you?

In fact I was just out by your place last Monday. Amanda and I took the sleds out to the Hayloft in luxemburg but they were closed. :( not open on Mondays. They have awesome broasted chicken out there.

Yep Im thinking some thing like that. Been trying to find some sort of mount or holder for the AFX, but nothing is out there!!! Fiberglass might be the way to go, not sure yet.

Good, just been keeping the snowmobiles going this year. Had to replace the engine in the ZR, and the nun on the ski doo. Not much time to or haven't made any to work on the sup. Shortly I will start wrenching on the sup, one nice thing is I dont have much that "needs" to get done. No standalone yet.

I still have the fiberglass repair kit I used to mount the bolts to the turbo A duct so maybe that will be the way. I think today I might head out to the garage and play with the sup. After 12 hrs of snowmobiling yesterday, Im thinking need to take a day off from the sled ;)

Rob- I've just had a thought...
You dislike the way the big TB responds on your car and want to return to stock (or so I'm led to believe)
I have a stock throttle body that's been set up for cruise, FFIM, and has a Q45 flange attached to it.
I'm looking to upgrade my throttle body

Do you see where I'm going?

Yes I see where your going with it. One of these days we will have to try and swap the throttle body. only problem we might see is interference with the tps and or linkage.

^^^ Ya it is actually. Amanda told me the other night the spare bedroom is not a "part storage room". I replayed "I beg to differ" ;)

Now if I would just buy something I actually needed for my car I would be doing better.

Aww, you think I'm a good seller :p

So, what are your plans for the Sup this year? Keep driving as-is or drop some more cash to make it go faster/turn better/stop quicker?
