Rebuild halted. exhaust mani WG flange needs a 90deg rotation. SS tubing.

The Dump pipe wont EVEN begin to fit. The minute I seen it, I knew it was coming. :(

I know JON @ MDCMotorsports does that mod. timing is everything.

Gonna try to get it solved locally.

For now most the parts are boxed up again. I have to wait for this crucial modification.

I made test fits on the bumper and new nose panel. found the one little dent that made all the difference.
It was the frame rail on the drivers side, the part that holds the bumper.
The left booboo is pointing slightly north. (that b!+¢h!)

Im gonna have to get that fixed so everything aligns nice and str8.
I Gotta plan to make it happen.
I know- MORE PICS!

easy fix. make another flange and weld it to the existing flange facing the proper way. shouldnt be hard los! call me later mang

excellent idea J727.

I also thought an adaptor could be fabbed.
It would be a bolt on to the existing location.

Starting with a flange, weld a 1/2" section of connecting pipe. then weld another flange (rotated 90deg) to the open end.

today i turned off my phones so I can become one with my supe again.
A good driver should know his vehicle as if it were an extension of his body.

got my supe started, had to jump it.
I got my tag & registration renewed yesterday.

I could'nt resist, so I began to drive around the house.
All is well, now lets go down the street.

my uncontrollable enthusiasm propels me into some kind of rebound like an addict, I wannna push it more so I wanna go round da...
...like everybody else, im used to sayin "round the block",

:nono: truth is, i live in the freegin boondocks. Everything is further.

so, I drove around the boondocks. :evil2:

4 miles = 1 trip around the boonies. YES im lovin it.
Even tho the front bumper cover is off, the car is dirty, all my tools and parts are inside- i was wearing a full grin. :biglaugh:

I truly like the sound of my exhaust. 3" is good.

My Good fan clutch is not good anymore. the spare went out too.
Im only pushing 2pds of boost.
Justin 727 said check the wastegate.
the saga continues...

I bought an ebay catch can and blew out all the front seals when I boosted.
:nono:

I took it apart 3 times and got it goin when...
I took it for a road test. went fast enough to wear out the front brakes in ( less than 5k on them) and blow out the front main seal again. i meant it wont stay in place. it usually found dangling in front of block face.

It started to leak oil and PS fluid again.

I said hell with it.
Complete cleanup of the PCV system and imma glue those damn seals in place!

and i did. I went ahead and painted the timing cover black. the metal pulleys and oil- cam sprockets, harmonic balancer got a few coats too.

I also sprayed the alternator bracket.

I should sprayed the calipers and rotors when i had the chance. then I woulda known if the quality of the paint was excellent.

I like the paint i used because it was resistive to chemicals, glossy, was supposed to hold 600 deg. heat. A good choice for brackets that don't see much heat.

The brakes wore out because the springs that separate the pads was gone. dont know where niether. I got these NEW from YOTA. well worth the money.

The heater valve broke on me as well too, so I bypassed the valve. I always have the climate set at 95 anyways.

The power steering was leaking from bad hoses. Now I gotta ask my wife if its OK to spend my paycheck on HOES- sorry HOSE. :) CALLING DRIFTMOTION!

All in all I took it for a drive today. It kept cool with the A/C. It traveled ~150 miles on the first quarter tank, made 300 miles on 3/4 tank yesterday.

I haven't hit fuel cut, It goes as fast as the old setup with only 4pds of boost. I pegged the boost gauge 2x.

My car is so fast, I need a big brake kit. It has really cool top end. the low boost makes it take longer to get there, im ok with that for now till i can stop this thing on a dime and give ya 13 cents change. oooh! i spy a set, F&R, somewheres for $111

later!

:) lol
well-
i got some new shoes for the supe.

but-
I still have leaks to contend with.

1) the rear main seal is leaking.

Traveling south hwy 53. Traffic came to a stop. cuz a tractor-trailer missed a turn.
the fool tried to back up.
:nono

I backed up, but the wide load kept a comin- the bastard forgot I was back there!

So I had 1 shot. put it in 1st, popped it for a good burnout.
I was fixin ta burn…
"watch out for them supras" permanently into his memory.

all i accomplished was a slip of my clutch. Not even a chirp from the tires.

SO DAMN EMBARRASING!
STR8 SLIPPIN like that.

This Supra Is A Sleeper, Not A Slipper!

WTF! I have the RPS stage 3 clutch. 550 HP.
the copper pucks bite into the flywheel. but all they did is slip.

25 Miles later I had full clutch no prob. I knew then that the flywheel got contaminated. Most likely oil leaked from the rear main seal.

I still haven’t pulled the motor. Imma still losin ~1 quart oil every tank.

2) Compression leak.

I lost my economy. I was getting 350 miles PER TANK!
It quickly/suddenly slipped to 250mile a tank.
It was running rich- I was misfiring at idle, and it was pissing me off.
So I pulled the spark plugs
#6, It was dark black.
#5-1 brown. (cleaner additive in fuel)

I suspected internal damage, so I did a compression test
Cylinders #1-4, #6 displayed ~150 psi. all within 5psi.
Cylinder #5 130 psi.

I thought to re-torque the head, get new plugs, recheck the intercooler piping, clean up the engine bay.

Got my Head Bolts loose, but drew blood in the process.
Now imma wearin a bandaid on my F*U finger.

I broke my 3/8ths ratchet extension, it cut me deep. I should a got a stitch (or two) , but dealt with it.

I was pissed off, but I got it buttoned up, and clean.
Put some Bosch FUSION plugs.

BAM! The economy came back. 350 miles to a tank.

3) SUSPENSION & DRIVETRAIN

Gotta get all 4 the TEMS shocks. My front lower ball joints are gone. Drive train is worn.

That’s another day, another story.
