Thanks everyone! The engine will be back this week some time!

If I were to go through the process of getting another 2jz, I would make sure I see the engine run before I get it. Id rather spend the extra money that way. If you get a pickle like mine, it will cost alot

First of all nice build. I love the 2JZ in my MKIII. My slant on putting a untested used engine in a car, has never been a worthy endeavor. To any one reading this thread, don't do it. Always have the engine gone through by a reliable machine shop first. Steveyblack would have saved considerable money and a lot of time invested had he gone down this road. It's understandable wanting to save money but it as this is the single most important part of your car, you can't skimp here. My nephew funky_monkey58 bought a "rebuilt" 7MGTE from a member here. The guy rebuilt it himself, didn't do anything to the main bearings and a very short time later develped rod knock. Another lesson learned.

Good luck on your build.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you man, yeah i went there i dont know too much. but now since im learning more and more im kinda scared. they did a wet compression test. was reading 180-through like dead on. the jdm cams are in great shape. no rust. no slude absolutly nothing. no burn marks aswell. kinda reminds me of a new head. i wish i still had pics of the bottem end of her. but yeah im still scared.i heard so much horror storys about jdm engine depot there in kearny NJ, and yeah mynes about to be starting soon. just sucks because if it ends up a bad motor, i wont have the money to fix my "DD" and just lost my income. so its really a scary and horrible situation.
