It all started....
I have been into I6s because my first car was a 52 GMC truck with the 250 cid six in 1976. I then had a Maverick with a 250 cid six too. Then my dad got crazy into Jags. He'd had five E-types. He still has his his and hers 69 vert and 69 2+2 and a 59 MK IX Saloon and a 49 Triumph TR 2000.
IN the 80's I drove I6 Hall-Scott powered fire engines and Detroit Diesel fire engines. It started to dawn on me the extra bearing surface is the key to reliability. I used to rent four local drag strips and put on VW only events.
Since I was ten I read and tried to understand Hot Rod magazine and from there all of them. I've been doing tune-ups on my dad's friends cars since then for $10 + parts during their lunchhours. The most interesting to me was camshafts.
It is not easy to spec anything. Ten years ago when got into Supras I thought no one knew anything then. So I stareted collecting the necessary information and guided by friends that are in the aftermarket high performance industry. They encouraged me to go for it, they would help but the couldn't see profit.
I don't want customers because I couldn't care less about customer service. I made my own and have my set. But there is so much interest I don't know what to do. If some one was savvy they would see the opportunity. If they could read my emails they would be sure.
The specs are for my 5MGE Tuning Manual. I guess I'm making a 6, 7, 1J and 2J manuals too, it is just a lengthy process.
Together we could have something but I'd rather collaborate. The group buy is just such a hassle. I have done all the work and just have to capitalize projects but I already have mine. HOw would you feel if you had yours. It takes me five days to do all the math and only one to make a manifold because I'm so sure.
Now I'll ask a question, who really wants any form of 7MGE, 7MGTE, 1/2JZxxx ITBs. I have an arrangement for a brand new ECU. I am an application developer and I have shown how to show benefit. I get a really good deal to work with them. To get this application off the ground this is no group buy because I can't pin down designers, owners and manufacturers during developement phases. But the ITBs could be yours for a one-time only deal from me not the company for $900 for the whole kit, no manifold.
The new ECUs are $800 through me. I can profit fromthis in any way I want...revenue-neutral through cost sharing or outright mark-up.
I can have the manifolds cast or build them out of aluminum sheet metal. Even ABS. I am going to get a set of stock Toyota ITBs and do a manifold for that.
I'm in a different position than everyone else. I have the specs to know what works before I begin.
