7M-GE + Supercharger?

There *has* to be room to put it somewhere and NOT remove any of the A/C, Power Steering etc. What about custom fabricating brackets for accessories? That way, you could bunch stuff up and shunt it around whilst still having room for the supercharger ;)

the NA non-vvti 2jzge does have a distributor but its highly unlikely that you would be able to use the 7ms electronics on a jz. If it were the case Im sure a whole bunch of people out there that swap the jz (1 or 2) wouldnt go through all the trouble of swapping out all the electronics. The VVTI equiped jz does not use a distributor

The 7M-GTE CPS works on a 2JZ-GE head where the distributor mounts. Many NA-T guys use it for an ign trigger on a standalone and others have used complete 7M-GTE ECU's, wireharnesss and ignitors but with piggybacks for fuel tuning and it works well especially if the GE block has dropped compression via thicker MHG or custom pistons.

The reason that its not a common thing in say a MK3 is you still need to make all of your hard parts JZ compatible and you still have the crappy intake manifold pattern.

You can make a custom intake manifold, with a supercharger as part of the assembly. The problem there is that the alternator is in the way.

There are many ways to do it, it is a matter of what you can afford.

If someone handed me a gold card and said "make me supercharged", I'd have them a setup in a week.

The problem is, the people that have that kind of cash, buy a turbo car, or do a turbo swap.

I'm gonna start a new thread about this. I have first hand used his products (not this one) and attest to the quality of the product. I was making 4psi on an escort GT (1.8BP mazda engine, same as the miata for those of you not familiar) THis looks like a complete bolt on package that should only take a couple hours to install. Best part is that there will be no fab work. Just put it in with good fuel management and a small intercooler and it will rock your socks off.

you can fit it, but you would loose something in the process. you could loose the PS or AC, if you move the AC, then you can relocate the alternator down lower, then mount the SC up top where there is more room. this idea would probably be best, running maf-t pro in speed density to free up more room, pipe it down to the FMIC, and then over to the stock intake location, keeping ACIS and everything, with less fab.

Draw up the plans. My ps leaks faster than I can add fluid and my a/c clutch melted itself to itself a long time before I got the car. I already have a more basic car than almost everyone here. I have no plans on fixing the a/c and I would just as soon replace the ps with a manual unit as I have grown accostom to turning two hand style.

There is no kit, that is just an example. Supercharger kits tend to run $4000 or more. You can buy a whole turbo motor for less then that, including installation. Even a turbo kit, including all new parts, and a new oil pan is less.

However, if you have $4000, I'll be glad to design you a bolt on kit that uses factory mounting points and retains AC. Seriously, we have always wanted someone to do an SC, but nobody has the money to play hardball.

You can tell that one pic is chopped because it is the same setup from another picture. The ribbed part of the picture is all choppy looking. They just pasted it over the top of a turbo motor.

i wish that there was a place to put a roots or twin screw SC in the bay of a supra. im already ditching my AC, PS and heat so thats a little more room to play with.

one idea that still seams plausable is removing the AC, putting the alternator where the AC was and mounting the SC where the alternator is.

shit, ide run with a DSM style bulge in my hood, or a raised cowl if i could fit a m-90 in that bay.

It's fiesable to do. If I had a junk SC I could start the fabbing process. Start out fabbing with steel plates and such then send it to someone to do nice watercut aluminum flanges and aluminum tubes etc.

Try to make a system where it would run on one of the existing drive belts.

If anyone has a pull a part that has a broken SC cheap LMK I might be able to afford it...Hell even a shell with a snout would work for the general purpose. I've got a spare motor or 2 layin around :)
