I think YOU can do it Matt. Shouldn't be much more than a clutch change with the addition of the clutch master cyl and pedal.

Just make sure you have the drive shaft ready thats the right one.

If you have to ask, I'd say plan on 2. It basically is a clutch change + pedal swap, clutch master & slave install, and driveshaft install.

The brake pedal swap and clutch pedal installation took far longer than I thought it should have (for me).

Ya'll suck ass... I wanted everyone to say no. :icon_mad:

Jason, Kurt, and myself did it in 12 hours.

Other than a few plugs being left unplugged all was good at start up. Runs/drives really good, clutch needs adjusted out a bit, a minor detail in the grand scheme of the day.

I'd say if anyone was wondering to themselves, "How long would a Auto-5speed swap take me...?" If you knew what you were doing and had all the correct parts and enough help to keep things moving, 12 hours is not a stretch, by any means.

Having all the correct parts, however... that could be a problem. With the swap the little things will kill you w/ wasting time. Looking for the right bolts, taking off bolts that got snapped off... ... , looking for parts, putting on the parts that are right under your nose and you think you have to drive 2 hours to go get... lol, if you would have been here you would be laughing, I promise.

Anyway, we didn't wind up doing the 'how-to' like we were originally hoping to do, but I'm confident that if anyone needed help/guidance, Rumptis or myself could deff. help you out w/ whatever problem you were having.

And I told kurt there was no way it'd get done in a day... shame on me.

Yup, we got it done and I don't know whether to be more pumped or suprised. Everything went as well as I could've hoped for except for a few stupid little moments here and there, but overall Matt and Jason are definitely FTW!

I got a few good pics to post later this week including my brand new engine harness!!!! Damn new wires/connectors are nice! Now I'm on a business trip until Thursday and I have to wait to give her a go. :(

^ Yup. Floor was still cold though.

And as for changing the pedals, I'd say it took me an hour-ish.

Worste part was thinking that we were gonna have to make a run to L-Ville to get a throw out bearing "carrier" or whatever its called, but it was still on the Transmission, behind the pressure plate, with the right throw out bearing... in better shape than the pressure plate that we were originally going to use.

lol

I'm told Jason's face when he realized it was priceless.

Anyway, I need sleep.
