anyone done a 1uzfe swap. i have seen one in a mkiv make alot of power. the lifespan of my 7mgte is getting to the end and i was wonder if i should just build up the 7m or try something like the 1uz. i like the sound of the v8 and there is some power to be made when you add a couple of turbos to the 1uz.

i was going to do it, then i decided against it (money reasons). it will cost a bit, even though the motor set might not. to make it easier send the harnesses to Dr. Tweak and for 500, he will make it plug and play for your car. you will need an adapter plate for the r154 bell housing to the engine, and you will be on your own for the motor mounts. Check out www.lextreme.com for some info on the swap there, and www.clubna-t.com also has a section. 2 turbos and a 1uz would be a really tight fit in the MKIII body, but with the right manifold, a gt42 fits rather nicely

its def not an easy swap, but would be worth it in the long run. more displacement = more power on pump. IIRC there was a stroked 2uz that made ~1k on pump
a 2uz would be bada$$ but alot of money. plus i like a manual tranny. i'm not sure if the new six speed in the 05-06 v6 tundra would mate to the back of the 2uz. if it did who would make a clutch set up for that?
A stroked 2UZ with a TRD supercharger in a mkiii would be sweet! I wanted to do that in my old 93 rwd toyota pickup but it would have cost way to much so I got a supra and did a 1JZ swap instead.

we did, but without turbo this is a toy that just eat the gas. Nothing interesting in the end.
